  1. To be honest, I think there's some truth in it. Can't be a coincidence that during the past 3 years of decline, we've had more "incidents" than I've ever known. Sheffield United had a similar rate of trouble during the 6 years in league one, if not worse.
  2. They are split between the different stands, 2 groups on the away end, 1 on T1 north, 1 under the scoreboard and 1 in the south east corner pitch side.
  3. Only response stewards can intervene and there's about 25 of them for the lower attended games. They hold SIA licences, same as a doorman. Regular stewards cannot intervene and are there to manage the crowd, guide fans etc..
  4. Hoping for some news to cheer us all up this week, hopefully the name of a front runner
  5. 9 starting players missing from same match last season
  6. What did i expect.... Heart ....
  7. It doesn't always have to be empty land, pre existing buildings can make way for a new stadium. It would likely be in the east of the city on land occupied by industrial units, of which some will be sadly vacant or failing.
  8. Without the points deduction there's a 2 point gap, smallest gap since 2012 probably
  9. It should have never got to this point, nevermind the day before. One of the biggest derbies in the country and the best chance we've got to beat them for years.
  10. When it comes down to it, this is our steel city derby and therefore our biggest game. Also, pigs are only 2 places above us. It doesn't matter whos not going and why, the issue is us not having enough fans left over to sell out our stadium with its capacity already reduced. If this is supposed to be one of the biggest derbies in the country, then it is embarrassing.
  11. A modern train is souless in comparison to a steam engine. It lacks all the history and character but i know which I'd rather travel across the country on. Its hard to get away from a bowl design. If you were to design a new stadium, you'd make all the stands in the same vein for continuity and you'd fill the corners in....
  12. Yes i remember the video released of how it could look and it looked great. It was 15 years ago though, so an up to date report would be needed.
  13. I'm not 100% on the costing but you're talking about building whole new stands at Hillsborough. Also, you have to factor in closing one stand at a time and the money lost in capacity for years.
  14. The biggest clubs either have, are, or plan to move. If we still want to be what we used to be (pre 2000), we have to at least be thinking about it.
  15. it's a paradox wishing for Hillsborough to be modernised instead of building a new stadium, as modernisation would make 80% of the stadium new. Triggers broom comes to mind
