  1. Club listening to fans ideas? Am I dreaming? Well done Kris and the SWFC team
  2. Tifo is an elaborate, coordinated visual display created by sports fans, primarily in football (soccer) matches, to show support for their team. It originates from the Italian word "tifosi," meaning "fans" or "supporters," and can include large banners, flags, card mosaics, and other choreographed elements. These displays are organized by supporter groups, often the "ultras," and are intended to be a powerful expression of loyalty and passion. Purpose: Tifos are designed to show immense support for the team, create atmosphere, and often send a message to opposing teams or players. Examples of displays: Banners: Large, often hand-painted canvases unfurled across stands. Card mosaics: Sections of the crowd holding up different colored cards to create a large picture or message. Flags: Numerous flags waved in unison or as part of a larger display. Organization: Tifos are typically organized by fan groups, who spend significant time planning and preparing them. They are often funded by the fans themselves, though sometimes clubs or sponsors get involved. Origin: The term comes from the Italian word tifosi, which describes passionate fans. The word tifo itself can be seen as stemming from the idea of "feverish" or "impassioned" support.
  3. It's also half term week so I guess many on holiday maybe. I think it was a fantastic effort given the short notice. I would imagine due to the boycott some would have made other plans that they couldn't get out of.
  4. I am told from a Manchester United fan, as a season ticket holder, they are only allowed to miss 3 home matches per season, after which their ticket is taken away from them. Club has a long waiting list for season tickets and a rare chance for them to get their hands on one, so not sure if that'd work for them. Maybe POTG fans could have an impact unless owners decide to issue additional season tickets!
  5. As a season ticket holder, no, not for this season. I have no objection. Circumstances dictate we need to bring in as much monies as possible.
  6. Stop it, I've cried enough
  7. Hope you don't mind, just copied and pasted this and shared on other platforms. Admitting stealing it from here!
  8. They have been removed by staff
  9. Do you have a photo of the flag? What was on it?
  10. Amazing group of people. So grateful for their presence and just hope that they continue the fight on our behalf and never get despondent amidst the mountain of work they undertake and the fickle fans, the pressure must be incalculable. A thank you to their families too to support them in this quest for The Wednesday.
  11. I placed about 12 black bin bags over various white seats in the North stand at the end of the game. I was approached by a female senior steward at the end, saying I will be locked in - threat didn't work - and that I'm wasting my time as the stewards would be removing them immediately. I thanked her for her concern but emphasised the principle. However, very disappointing that barely a handful of supporters did this.
  12. Good luck lads, well done and thank you.
  13. Only me all emotional ? That b*****d DC made me miss it
  14. As at 20:35. Photo sent to me by a LUFC friend. A bit disappointing, hoped for less, still, the fact that they only had to open one home stand and not fill it, speaks volumes.
  15. For those of you planning to go to the Birmingham away match. https://www.facebook.com/share/1K1wcVJFCr/
  16. Love it! Our fans are ace!
  17. Unimaginable. I am so very sorry. Grief is a personal emotion and there's no right or wrong way to go through it. Thoughts with you, your son's wife and children and the rest of the family. I'm sure you'll need to stay strong for them but hope you find time for yourself too.
  18. I would prefer a protest inside and outside. Whilst more than happy to miss the first 5 minutes of the game yesterday at Leicester, missing the whole game is a step too far for me personally. However, I fully support those that choose to boycott the match or not renew their season ticket.
  19. Yes LCFC were excellently organised and ensured the safety of all fans so that there was no mad stampede. I was very impressed and felt totally safe. Their continued announcements kept all fans up to date with the situation and instructions.
