  1. By the time January rolls around we will be planning for an immediate bounce back from league 1 and our transfer business will reflect this. I do expect us to be busy in January and for the new owners to take an active view on recruitment, even with our embargo that prevents us from buying players. Shrewd free transfers and young players on loan etc. I don't particularly expect the new owners to be banking on survival this season. It'll be tying down our more promising, young players to decent contracts, bringing free agents up to speed and planning for summer recruitment, all with that aim of pîssing league 1.
  2. Fûcking truth.
  3. The most overheard and overrated song after Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody I fûcking hate Metallica. Absolute redneck trucker rock.

  5. The perfect player for us in what will be a very exciting League 1 campaign.
  6. To be honest, it was a good decision. He looked absolutely full of confidence and when you take a penalty, that counts for a lot. On the balance of things, it was the right choice. But you don't score them all
  7. Really gutted for the lads. Thought we deserved all three points today and Preston deserved nothing. They were poor, dirty bástards. I will never understand why Ofiah didn't get a second yellow for that handball. Still, thought the lads looked very sharp and played very well. Positives? McNeill scoring two goals and our subs making a decent, albeit brief showing.
  8. Good signing, I love it, lots of fun. Nathan Redmond.
  9. Genuinely think we shouldn't be discussing a new manager. Not under the current circumstances. I think there is a very decent manager in Pedersen and I'd love to see what he could do with a full squad of his own, fully fit and prepared for a season.
  10. Yep. People miss this. The Pigs had a solid game plan which they stuck to. One of those tactics involved stifling our main threat.
  11. I don't know why people are laughing at this? McNeill did have a decent game. Not sure he was MOM but he put himself about and was key to much of our attacking play.
  12. For sure and emotions were understandably probably quite high after that result, as we deserved a point.
  13. Thought we showed some genuine quality this evening and were unlucky to not come way with a point. That shot from Baz. Absolutely ludicrous. I wish it had gone in. Hard lines to both McNeil and Lowe. Both shots deserved more. Overall I thought the team looked better tonight. If only we had the squad depth. The moment Millwall bring on their subs, they score. Well played lads.
  14. 100% and I'd also argue that he plays better when surrounded by better players, if that makes sense.
  15. I'm hoping to see a bit more endeavour and a bit of a change of tact after the Piggie-biffing. Come on lads
  16. Perfect player for us in league 1. Physical, dead fit, versatile. I think we do need to set our expectations accordingly. Given that we may not be able to pay fees for players. Also, I think he's better in midfield. I don't think playing outside in a three is his best position.
  17. Cheers mate. Yeah definitely some positives take from our situation!
  18. This is all really good news, right? So new owners come in, no further points deductions, which means planning for L1 can begin in January? We'll be able to pay fees, right?
  19. I know what you mean mate. For the most part this season, I think the manager and players have shown some real guts and determination, in the face of the very worst conditions within a football club. Yesterday was our biggest game of the season and neither seemed to show up for it. Poor tactical choices? Fatigue? I dunno, probably a mixture of both. But I am not prepared to drag anyone over the coals. We will play rubbish while we are in the situation we are in, there are games where we will be outclassed, there are games where we'll be tactically undone, and at this point, I think both the manager and players have a lot of leeway. Yesterday sucked. More than I actually thought it would. Half my family are Blades and they have absolutely dined out on the victory, waaaaay more than I thought they would. Proper classless, over the top pisßtaking. To me, it's a bit of a hollow victory, a nothing result. They are kicking us while we are down. I think we all need to back off a bit and remember who put us where we are. Wawaw.
  20. Agreed. He cut a very frustrated figure today. There was one point where he cut out a cross of theirs and he was walking towards the box, shaking his head. You could see how pis5ed off he was. He's so far ahead in terms of ability and the way he reads the game to his cohorts, there were two opportunities that he created today that should have ended in a goal, with better quality on the pitch, they probably would have done. Crazy to single him out though, the whole team looked completely lackluster today.
  21. I think it's very hard to criticise any of his starting 11 choices at this present time. Starting Ugbo? Perhaps because he's a bit older and more experienced that Cads or McNeill. It's not unreasonable, considering our current squad depth and it's most certainly not ideal. I don't know why the lads seemed off it today but that's up there with the worst I've seen us play all season. Is that on Pedersen? Perhaps. But I'd hardly say it's reflective on the rest of the season. The fight and commitment he's bought out of the players he has is undeniable. I'd love to see what he could do with a full transfer window, no embargoes, plenty of cash and a full pre-season.
  22. I hope it is Pederson because I think there's a quality manager there that needs a fair swing at this club. You can see what he's trying to do and we do occasionally play some very decent football. But how can we properly judge him? Since taking over, he couldn't have had a worse situation to deal with. I think the guy is tactically very astute, well respected, very likable and is doing as well as a manager could do with the squad that he has. I hope the new owners recognise that, too.
  23. Said in another thread that we were poor all over the pitch today. He was on another level today and I'm tired of defending him and waiting for him to actually perform. He looked completely lost out there, didn't know where the ball was, couldn't find his feet and is incapable of any sort of hold up play. So very poor.
