Maybe its my age but I have all the Derby County home programmes since I started supporting the Rams in 1970. I pay a subscription and have them sent to my home. I also buy a programme at every away game I go to. They are all in binders by season and we have had to convert the garage into a spare room to store them. Maybe it is not something that younger supporters are interested in but when I flick through them it brings back memories of past games and friends I have been to games with. I joke with my wife that if the house ever caught fire I would rescue the programmes first and the family second. My wife replies that if I upset here the programmes will be the first thing to be set on fire. I have been walking on eggshells for 40 years!!!!

I was only winding you guys up ............I was only 9 when I turned my allegiance to Brian Clough first and then Derby County. When I was 15 we lost 5-0 at Southampton and decided I would support Liverpool instead........it was too late I had the Derby bug and could not change and it has been 55 years a Ram. I was Kevin Hector when I was at Hinde House school. The only insult I have noticed on this thread aimed at me is someone calling me a forest fan

My knickers are fine......the one post that made me laugh was the poster who said there were no other teams who could match the attendance from Wednesday night when in admin. We were in a far worse position than you and you are not the first to end up in the s**t and you will not be the last. You owe 1 million to HMRC...our owner ran up 26 million owing to the taxman. I seem to have hit a nerve with some of you guys.........I wondered how many of you would come back at me!!!!! I was an Owl until 22 April 1970 but I saw the light..........

We had 3 of the top five attendances in the Championship that season.....the Blades had the best average attendances with Forest second and us third. We were in administration for a full 9 months throughout the entire season.....our average was 23k.......Forest and the Blades were pushing for promotion so you would expect them to have more than a team stuck at the bottom of the league.

Stop messing about........Derby got over 30k gates while in admin and were the third highest supported team at home and had the best away Support in the Championship that season. We had 21 points deducted not a measly 12!!! We had 12 points deducted in September for going into admin and a further 9 points in November. Do not think the EFL will take pity on you......they love to kick you when you are down!!!!
-
There is still a chance for you to get out of this. When Derby went into admin in 21/22 we had a 21 point deduction.....12 for going into admin plus 9 for FFP breaches. We still finished above Barnsley and were 7 points away from safety. We would have been safely in mid table without the deduction. The only drawback for you is we did not have our squad of players decimated beforehand like yours. We could only sign players who were either free transfers or loans.........the strange thing is the team played better than the team put together spending millions.

Don't be silly. The administrators decide who the preferred bidder is for the club during the administration process. They will vet anyone bidding for the club. Saying that though our administrators, Quantuma, were going to sell the club to an american business man, Chris Kirchner, who ended up in prison in the US for fraud.

DC is not the main creditor. HMRC come first and then the players when money is paid out. You should now fill the ground and show any prospective buyers what they can expect under the correct ownership. DC now has no control over the club and its money. ......that will be down to the administrators.

SWFC IN ADMINISTRATION - CONFIRMED
Sheffieldrams replied to Sambo89's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
We were in administration for 9 months before we found a buyer. There were a few time wasters and false dawns before we found a buyer. Hillsborough is like Pride Park.....it is still in the hands of the owner and will need a separate negotiation for any prospective buyers. The administrators will attempt to keep the club going and will take out loans to ensure it can complete the season. 12 points automatic for going into admin, more if the EFL impose charges for non-payment of wages or FFP issues. We took a 21 point deduction and all future player purchases had to be signed off by the EFL. The extent of how much Chansiri owes to people will now come out. -
I hope he was not the Bristol City keeper who played for the under 21's last night. The Derby under 21s scored 8 times past him ....we should swap the under 21s with the first team!!!!

Danny Röhl to Southampton....
Sheffieldrams replied to 1952Owl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Eustace is losing the goodwill of the fans at Derby. I have seen today for the first time on the Derby forum Danny Röhl as possible manager for Derby!!!! -
Big Ron & Carlton Palmer (in London)
Sheffieldrams replied to The Real London Owl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I used to be manager of the Safeway at Meadowhead. One Boxing day ( we were not open ) a couple of us were in the store checking the refrigeration was working ok. Carlton Palmer came to the door and wanted me to open up so he could collect his boxer shorts from the dry cleaners. We could not let him in as we were not open...he was not happy. The Rams were due to play Wednesday a week or so later and jokingly I said I would only let him in if he would promise to score a couple of own goals in the forthcoming game. This seemed to make him even more unhappy. I believe he came back when we were open the following day. -
I have said on this forum before it will be the HMRC who finally push Chansiri over the edge. How much he owes will not come out fully until the HMRC file a winding up order. Mel Morris owed almost 30 million in unpaid taxes included money owed to other clubs and loans. Once in administration the admin team negotiated to pay only approx 25% of the money owed to the taxman which was still over 6 million. The HMRC way of thinking is to get something rather than nothing if the club was to go out of business. The HMRC are the preferential creditor and have to be paid first before anyone else and then the players if the club goes into admin.

Was there something significant happening on this date? You have picked the lowest home attendance of the season. The Owls had some really big attendances during the season. 96/97. Look at the highest attendances during the season and this will highlight what awaits any new owner who gets it right.

Wednesday Coventry OMDT
Sheffieldrams replied to Lord Snooty's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Coventry are a good side....It is no disgrace under the circumstances to concede 5 against them........we conceded 5 at home against them earlier in the season. From what I can see you are doing well to be picking up the points you are. Your team has been decimated so what do people expect. Keep supporting the team that is on the pitch. Players who may be carrying injuries and niggles may be forced to play because you are short on numbers. I have a colleague at work who pays on the day but earlier in the season left at half time. What did he expect to see!!!!! I know the vast majority of the fans are realistic and if you have already bought a season ticket then by all means go to the game........that money has already gone. -
Great win at Portsmouth. BUT HOW do we Win at Home?
Sheffieldrams replied to 1952Owl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
If you guys can wait until 15/12/25 the Super Rams are always obliging when it comes to playing against teams on a poor run. It is written in the stars that we will lose!!!! -
"0898 121186 if I recall correctly" I once got into trouble at work because I kept using the company phone to ring the clubcall number. One different to the Wednesday number........0898 121187. Funny that the number sticks in my mind all these years later.

There are a couple of shops just off Hillsborough crossroads that do t-shirt printing.....got a lovely Derby County one to my own design a couple of weeks ago. They are a good price..........I provided the t-shirt but they do have their own. they did not have my size. I am not sure if they do printing for Sheffield Wednesday so may not want to print too many t-shirts putting down Chansiri.

While he was keeper for Burton he ended up in court for attacking 2 delivery drivers with a sword. He said one of them had put a scratch on his kitchen floor while delivering a new cooker. The drivers legged it and one of them admitted that he was Leeds fan who had issues with Bywater's team Burton for denying them a place in the play-offs. That's allright then.........surely it is not a crime to wave a sword at a dirty Leeds fan? On another occasion while at Derby he got a portable toilet and a horse box and put it in his garden. He put graffiti on it and tied 2 old mattresses to the top along with 2 sex toys. He was forced to apologise to the neighbours.

As a Derby fan I remember going to the Baseball |Ground in the early 80's with my Wednesday mates when the Owls were banned. Not difficult to get in but I cannot remember why you were banned anyway? I also remember going in the away end in the eighties with my Wednesday mates and having Derby fans above us throwing items down at us. I had to take it as it would not have been a good idea to show my true allegiance. Happy days.

Creditors and Administration
Sheffieldrams replied to SnowyOwl13's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
You only have to look at our situation when we went into administration. I would suggest you are in a slightly different position when it comes to administration. Mel Morris did not sell all our playing assets in the same way that Chansiri is doing. Selling all your best players can only de-value what the club is worth. At some stage a new owner at Hillsborough will have to re-invest in the playing team When we went into administration we owed 36million to HMRC, 20 million to MSD holdings ( Us investment company ) and 10 million football debts. 66 million in total. How much does Chansiri owe? He is hanging on and paying what he can just in time to avoid any winding up orders....HMRC will be the first to ask for the club to be wound up if he cannot pay them. HMRC are the preferential creditor if Wednesday did go into administration. They take first claim on any money available and then the playing staff. In the end HMRC, in discussions with our administrators, accepted only 25% of what they were owed. This seems a big loss for the government but it was more than they would have received if we had gone bust.......and we were closer than most people think. I know you think it is the end of the world at the moment but you have not had a 21 points deduction ( which we had ) and you are not in administration. Yes, Chansiri owns the ground, so did Mel Morris, but in the end the ground will come back into the ownership of new owners.....unless of course Chansiri has a death wish and wants to drag the club down into oblivion!!!! -

Making the case. Is Barry Bannan the greatest EFL?
Sheffieldrams replied to M Royds's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
We taught him all he knows......he was on loan with us in 2009 and scored his only goal for us against the blades at Bramall Lane.
