Sheffield and Hallamshire Senior Cup
Pughies Jockstrap replied to gypsyowl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Yep I used to play in it every season. As I remember there were some tasty games against teams that weren't in your league and you knee very little about. Memory dims but I seem to recall Kiveton, Rossington ( IThink) places like that. Wish I still had the knees and lungs. -
Absolutely spot on my friend. I know this for a fact.

George Hirst scores after just 2 minutes
Pughies Jockstrap replied to 1952Owl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I recall Jim Mcalliog once scored after he left us it might have been for Wolves or Man United or Southampton. I think Peter Eustace did too and Lee Chapman and Brian Marwood and Imre Viradi and Chris Brunt and Glenn Whelan. How very dare they all these ex Wednesday players who have the nerve to score after they've left us. FFS get a life man. -
Quick story about that night. I was sitting next to Brians wife Val in the stand at Elland Road. Her and my Mrs were big friends. The last 10 minuets were spent having plastic cups of tea and coffee thrown at us by those lovely Leeds fans. We luckily got out OK. What a hostile atmosphere it was.

Its surprising how many on here actually do think like that.

Glasgows decent enough now but there's always that nagging doubt you could bump into Nicola Sturgeon. -

Spot on he will drag it out as long as he can. Lets not forget the Regulator is a new post and will be subject to legal challenge after legal challenge if any decision doesn't go Chansiri way. It could indeed drag out for years. Our legal system is not known for its speedy decisions and normally goes at a snails pace. Some people seem to have the impression the Regulator will tell Chansiri to sell up and he will meekly comply. I foresee injunctions flying about all over the place. -
Is this a good idea for a protest?
Pughies Jockstrap replied to 1867tim's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
From one old timer to another - good idea. And to the poster who asked about prosecution its not a criminal offence to hang about after although staff can ask you to leave and take action if you refuse. Personally Id love to see all the players turn up, refuse to get changed and sit in the dressing room until 5pm. Now that would be worldwide newsworthy and send Sky into a mad panic. Chansiri would then be globally embarrassed. -
No Costelot.
