Dear Santa, I've been very good this year, and I would like a striker please, and not the annoying football game from the 70s.

We're only worth whatever someone's willing to pay, and we are a bit of basket case, but one with the best fans in the world. It will all work out fine in the end, be patient and let Kris do his stuff.

The OP lists most of the flaws of the game at present, it seems detached from the actual sport. Until the unfairness of the system is addressed from top to bottom then all I'm interested in is a team, a fan base and community with togetherness, a beautiful old ground that we can be proud of, and that we win as many games as we lose, so I can at least enjoy the football on the field.
