Which street? Is she fit?

I think we’re in the post-Chansiri’s gone doldrums where we all need the next bit of good news. It’s not happening on the pitch obviously, so we just have to be patient and await the announcement from the administrators. I’m just hoping it’s gonna be one of the best Christmas presents ever, so that Boxing Day will be a day of celebration, although I can’t come up until the Portsmouth match.

It’s gonna get even more toxic if we have to wait until next November to find aht which guy is buying us.

There’s a funny little older gentleman who stewards down at Argyle. He is quite verbal shall we say, but can’t be more than 5ft 2. Bald headed, he always reminds me of that little bald fella in the Benny Hill show, who Benny used to slap on the head. Fair play to him though.

Don’t most clubs employ some of the more experienced door-staff types as their response stewards? I know for a fact they always used to down at Plymouth. Presumably still do.

Looks like a shopping centre where they’ve forgotten to put the roof on. I hope with all the passion I’ve got for this club, that we don’t move to a lego bowl/shopping centre.

We know we’re relegated and we’ve known it all season, but it would be good if we can sign a few decent players in January when the new owners have taken over so that at least the rest of the season will give us a bit more to cheer.

Apologies, you’re right about the Kop, but the main stand was expanded by removing the roof and adding a third tier. The street behind was demolished. Prior to that the Kemlyn Road stand had an extra tier added to it and latterly the Anfield Road End had another tier added. So only the Kop was completely demolished. I think the owners have created a great stadium retaining the footprint of the original.

That’s not correct though. No all new stands at all. No stands were demolished in their redevelopment, so they’re all stands which have been extended. That’s what should be considered at Hillsborough in my opinion. Apart from there should be an all new stand to replace the Lep. New owners could get specialists to assess the feasibility of increasing the size of and renovating the North stand and improving facilities in other parts of the stadium. The first job though should be the demolition and rebuilding of the Lep. Let’s get that particularly monkey off the club’s back.

You don’t hear the Royal family saying, ‘Windsor Castle, Buck Palace and Balmoral have all seen better days. Let’s move to three new, super palaces with shops, restaurants and hotels attached’ do you? The French didn’t move to a new Notre Dame when the old one burnt dahn. They rebuilt it. We’re foookin football royalty ffs. We’re stoppin’ at Hillsborough!! These new bowls are frightfully common!

What makes our case any different than Liverpool’s in terms of the decision to stay or move, if our new owners are as fabulously wealthy as we hope? Their owners decided to stay at Anfield and having been there scores of times in the 80’s, I know it’s in a very similar environment to Hillsborough. Surrounded by roads, old houses etc. I’d rather have their historic stadium any day compared to the generic bowl that Everton have just moved into. Have you seen the monstrosity that Birmingham are proposing to build ffs. Modern architects can work wonders with older structures these days. It just takes good planning, getting the City Council onside and a shed load of money. How difficult can it be?
