I can also remember the 7-0 Burnley game. I believe we also beat Chelsea 6-1 that season. The Chelsea team that day contained some fantastic footballers but on the day they couldn’t handle us. John Ritchie scored 2 it may have been his debut or one of his earlier matches with us.

If Humphreys is worth having what about a swap with Michael Smith as I’m sure he’s not part of Röhl’s long term plans. If Smiths wages are a problem we could contribute £3k a week for the remainder of his contract. So effectively we are getting Humphreys for £150k and saving on Smiths wages.

For a pig I quite like Warnock. He’s a character, good at his job and he likes the banter. I also think he quite likes us and I understand he used to attend our matches when he was young. I know Cardiff have recalled McGuiness but I think there is still a chance that he may come back at some point this January. I think this may be defendant upon whether Cardiff are able to recruit during this window. If they manage to recruit players, mainly forwards, this window then he may be back. Fingers Crossed.

I think Wednesday want him to sign a new contract and I think there is a contract ready for him to sign. What can we do if the player wants to keep his options open until later in the season to see whether he will be playing championship or league 1 football. In most situations the player has all the power.

Mine arrived this afternoon

I ordered 2 on 20 September and not received them yet. When I ordered I asked them for confirmation by email but they said they didn’t do that so I have no order reference or proof of purchase. They did say I should get them in about a week.

I think he will go this week. He’s not figured much recently and I think this is the reason why. If we could get close to 1 million for him then maybe it’s the best thing all round as we don’t want an unhappy player. It will be interesting to see whether he is included against Rochdale. I hope he is as this could be indication that he is staying and I’m happy to be proved wrong.

To answer the posters question. Eventful yes but he contributes so much. He’s a good player and will be important to us this season.

I was a bit frustrated after the Peterborough defeat. Up to the red card we were comfortable. Now after the Bolton game I feel much happier. There will be a few disappointments but there will be many more good results. I think we are in better shape than last year

He’s only seventeen. There is no evidence yet that he is going to be a superstar. He is showing promise that’s why he has been given a professional contract. Let him develop with the Under 21’s and if he does well then maybe under the right circumstances he can be given a taste of first team football. Throwing him in now might hinder his development and if we lost with him in the side then many would be ready to criticise. Give him time.
