The NDA reference is a smokescreen if you ask me. When pretty much any business of a noteable size is being sold everyone involved usually signs an NDA before any info swaps hands. And that includes buyer, seller, bank or funder, all legal and all financial advisors. It's pretty standard practice in the UK.

Of course we are all desperate to win today! Goes without saying. I've just watched the service at the cenotaph and along with these posts .makes you realise it's just a game of football.

Any business that doesn't pay HMRC on time us usually mismanaged or in financial difficulty in my opinion. Being in arrears on a payment to the crown is frowned upon by lenders, suppliers and obviously the football league. In my experience this is something to worry about. Time of year is irrelevant as a well run business would have the capital adequacy and funding to cover cash flow ebbs and flows. The fact is, he's not paid his bills on time. Again. There is no escaping that fact no matter how some may want to dress it up.

I'd suggest so. My daughter has autism and always has something like this with her if we go somewhere for a period of time.

I may be wrong but I don't think he has a plan whether we are in league 1 or not. Might be cheaper but income will be significantly less and the club as a whole (not just the team) needs major investment. If we get relegated I can see a further decline and maybe even a stint in league 2. The guy is clueless.

Discussion On Wednesday And Chansiri On Talk TV Tonight
Chewy24 replied to S36 OWL's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Why does this matter. We know Chansori has form for banning individuals/refusing tickets when anyone "upsets" him. Just normal fans wanting the club to be run better and on a sustainable basis. -
HULL CITY - V - WEDNESDAY (OMDT)
Chewy24 replied to Lord Snooty's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I'm confused! Are we supposed to be giving the new manager time? Or do we need to hound him out before the end of August? Someone please tell me what to think! I would suggest that to think a brand new team playing a brand new formation/strategy may take more than 2 or 3 competitive games to gel and settle. -
Agree! Look at Man U! Offered De Gea a contract on reduced waged. Then pulled it when they found a better keeper and let him leave. Brutal, but thats football and as a club we need to be like that to progress. Similar decision will need to be made with Bannan at some point unless he moves on to the coaching staff.

As someone else has just said the actual worst case is that we go in to admin when he has spent all this front loaded cash and we can't afford the running costs from next year/year after. I would run a mile if I was asked to fund a business that had this operating model! People need to separate the "premium product" idea from the actual cash flow implications it creates. Seems to me that our chairman is unfortunately painting himself (and more worryingly) the club in to a corner and soon there will be no way out.

Chris McClure Call to Radio Sheffield Sport Heaven
Chewy24 replied to BIG D's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I don't post on here often but here goes. I'm in a fortunate position that I could afford an early bird season ticket. Or a season ticket at any point. But I live in York and am a sole parent to 2 kids, one of which plays football every weekend so a season ticket just doesn't work for me. I'm also fortunate that I could afford to pay the POTG prices, but from a principle point of view I just can't justify that as those prices are just crazy! There has been loads of talk about how our chairman talks to the press and fans. I was always told in management that if you are not good at something the delegate it to someone in your team that is better than you. No shame in that and he needs to realise that, as much as he may love the club (and plough ££££'s in to it) there is undoubtedly someone better placed to communicate with the fans and media. As many have said, the feel good feeling is drifting away and it seems to be down to pure stubbornness in terms of listening to people who may know more the the chairman does. -

25-1 to be next Leeds manager on Paddy Power. Only 9-1 on sky bet! -
Could we borrow the Man City squad for one night? They bagged 4 tonight quite easily!

China and Saudis! Is this not a double racist post! Outrageous!

They are doing a right job on us here. Can't get the ball down in midfield and no link up play to the forwards! -
Still better than the Chelsea club shop after today!!!!

Mr Chansiri. Hillsborough the 6.4m loan
Chewy24 replied to ANDY's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
The charge will be logged at Land Registry and the record is available via Companies House. The first charge doesn't have to be removed and lenders often don't remove their charge when a loan is repaid. It sometimes goes unnoticed until the asset is sold. -
Regarding the timing of the filing of the accounts.......as stated above, you don't need to file last minute. In fact, many companies that are trying to improve their credit rating, reputation or to demonstrate financial wellbeing file early. The fact is, we haven't filed ours, it sets alarm bells ringing and whilst it's still conjecture it would appear that either (a) the auditors won't sign off on a going concern basis, or (b) they show yet another breach of FFP and once published will lead to further sanctions.

Totally agree. I wonder if LondonOwl has actually seen someone die in front of him. Its horrific to see even if you do know/accept that people die. Main point is that the guy looks like he is on the road to recovery. How people feel or react to what they saw is irrelevant. Everyone is different and handles situations differently.

As others have said, maybe some other clubs are struggling. Still doesn't make things ok for us being part of that band. And we seem to be the only club that is in the news day after day, week after week with news of unpaid players, furlough requests, broken boiler that we can't afford to fix, cash flow problems, not owning the ground, a lender who we owe a huge wedge to later this year having a mortgage charge over the ground! Our list is endless!!! Would you do business with a company that had our reputation and rumours/facts flying around as detailed above? Pretty soon no players, suppliers or service partners will want to deal with us for fear of not getting paid. I don't know if the chairman or his family can get any more cash in to the football club but it sure as hell doesn't look like it to me.
-
Probably means we will, on paper, double your wages. However when it gets to pay day and you check your bank account we won't have actually paid you. But don't worry, in paper you are better off than you were at Donny!

It would be interesting to know what most footballers and agents think when a SWFC representative contacts them about a transfer. Us fans can see what a shambles things are so the "inside word" within football would be an interesting topic of discussion. Maybe we aren't the only club not paying wages on time but our problems run much deeper than that! Would you swap employers if your existing firm was relatively competent to a firm that was a total mess? Doesn't matter how "big" we think we are, I just don't see us as an attractive employer, even in L1!
-
Look at the connection between the owner, the manager and the players! If Chansiri got invited on to the pitch after one of our games the players wouldn't be hugging him, they would be asking when they were getting paid. Two clubs that are poles apart I am afraid.
-
Whilst the comment above is painful to read, unfortunately for SWFC you are correct. Until our club is run properly, either by a new owner or by the existing owner putting a proper infrastructure in place, we have little chance of returning to the championship never mind the Premier league. Irrespective of the above I will still support the club, even though I don't support the current owner!
