Agree . I just think it’s another short term gamble and believe we have made too many of those in recent times. This has contributed to our demise. At least in the past there was an argument we were gambling to try and go up or stay up. Given we are all but relegated,, this seems like a signing for signings sake?

No. I’m saying persevere with McNeil, Kobacki and Fusire give them a fair crack and the best coaching possible to see if they can make the grade in League 1. Be fair to J Lowe and play him in his preferred position as he is already match fit. Don’t spaff money we don’t have on a busted flush when we are certs for relegation

Will be another Berahino, Mendez Laing , Chalobah busted flush. Will stifle the development of McNeil, Kobacki and Fusire ( I believe he started as a forward??? ) I’d hoped the new regime would learn from the mistakes of the past

Agree with the sentiment of the OP but if we don’t win another point this season the feel good factor will vanish, match day revenues will decline and the experience will be miserable. Also, if anyone’s ever played in a team that gets its arse handed to them every week, they will the effect on players. Even the ones we might want to keep might be shot for next season. I think we do need an uplift on the pitch too

I genuinely wonder if the EFL could have envisioned that one owner could be so awful. My guess is that the rules are as they are to close all the loopholes. Eg pay HMRC but default on transfer payments, default on loans but make sure the wages are paid etc. The problem arises when a monumental fool breaks all the rules at the same time. No one else in history had 6 umbongos all at once. We’re punished 6 times for the same idiot. And by we, I mean the players, staff, supporters and new owners, none of whom have done anything wrong To put the tin hat on things, the new owners have to fund the incompetence of the old owner. Surely this wasn’t the intentioned outcome when the clubs (including us) voted in the rules.

Hope to get the odd moment of class from Harry and Baz Three up top so we have more targets to aim for with a more direct style. Gives the option to play in the channels with McNiel (deserves a run) and Lowe (I know he’s been shybo but we need to see him given service in his best position)

Today there was a real lack of commitment

Bannan is a Wednesday legend. Unbelievably loyal. Always available. Always gives 100%. Plays through the pain barrier. Has given us some wonderful moments scoring worldies and putting on some virtuoso performances. He has been consistently our best player since he joined the SWFC family. However, although I don’t agree with the OPs tone, I can agree with the sentiment. Baz hasn’t been able to provide the big performances when we needed him the most. Hull playoff, Huddersfield playoff, both legs v Sunderland, Derby relegation decider and the derbies. He was also pretty anonymous in both Peterborough games, both Brighton games and the Barnsley final. He doesn’t seem to have that big game mentality that the very best players have. Maybe he cares too much? I think it’s the reason he’s never had a move to the Prem. In no way a criticism. I love Baz. Not every professional athlete has the ability to deliver when it matters most.
