Ugbo was shot well before that penalty … it was unforgivable of bannan / windass to give him that pen you could see what was coming a mile off … then to throw the game away in the second half when we should have been out of sight. Another occurrence at hillsborough when we the fans take a boot in the nuts due to the players decision making or lack of

Problem? HP and Baz after the final whistle...
Dorsetowl1997 replied to Maidstone Owl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Hopefully tactics. They need to prioritise player welfare and safety which means sitting back and soaking up the pressure and playing on the break. Players are going to start suffering serious injuries trying to play this all out running around like headless chickens game with the lack of rotation and derelict facilities at Middlewood road. -

Great commitment from the players. Exposed formation meant that their goal was inevitable. Have to try and beat Rotherham’s record low of 23 points. Many on here say this is a ‘reasonable’ league 1 team and many have said we have a championship back line, which means we should be getting that. -

It is, but with how much talk there is on here (rightly so) is it right having the same players chase shadows rather than park the bus and grind out draws. Not saying we’d manage that but the players are absolutely shattered but still try and play this expansive open game which can only come from him. -

I don’t want to be critical of the manager circumstances considering, but That has been coming for 20 + minutes. First half we sit back and soak up the pressure and look ok. Second half he decides to go gung ho and we are on the ropes for 20 minutes + playing catastrophic passes across the back and not a single bit of time wasting. It can only come from the manager and I would be intrigued to understand his motives. -

Playing out again ! We would be about 10 points better off this year if they didn’t insist on playing out. -

It is, but why don’t the take responsibility and kick it themselves or can none of our players kick it properly. -

Chalk and cheese compared to Sunday so far. But why oh why our players kick it back to poor old horvath rather than kick it long themselves I’ll never know. -
Moving On From Frustrations
Dorsetowl1997 replied to Kopparberg's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
How anyone can criticise the fans is beyond me. We know we are not very good, but the effort the players didn’t put in was hurtful to a lot of the fans including me. we have one of the most loyal and resilient fan bases in the country having put up with complete mismanagement and neglect for years on end. And I along with others I’m sure start to get fed up when we are constantly told how brilliant we and how much effort and determination we put in, which based on Sundays performance is not matched by the players who in my opinion showed a lack of respect to the fans. we will now see what they are really made of, if we get any more ‘performances’ like that on Sunday then we all know what the players think of us. -
Sit back and soak up the pressure and play on the break. Did it at Portsmouth and won and away at Wrexham and should have won. We do not have the personnel to play out from the back or through the thirds there is no point in being stubborn you have to cut the cloth accordingly. Not to sound overly harsh but my stomach was going summersaults yesterday watching Iorfa try and run with / pass the ball. Surely the manager can see what we all can.

It’s a hard sell asking people to fork out money for players that have seemingly throw the towel in regardless of the apathy showed by some fans

One thing I hope the new owners can crack is the ludicrous injury record / rehabilitation time our players seem to have compared to other clubs.
-
Fair enough if that’s your opinion but their goal was amateur hour, we’ve let 26 goals in this season (the most in the league) but according to some on here we’ve got a ‘solid’ back 4, it’s all the emergency keepers fault. Why not bring through some youngsters who played great in the cup games so they’ve got experience for next season?

Some better touches so far tonight … the problem is he doesn’t move , or only moves after the ball has been kicked meaning he will always struggle to score. Strikers who score anticipate where the ball is going.
-
We look so much better sitting deep and looking to play on the break than what we do trying to play more expansive stuff.

It goes without saying but someone that knows how to run a football club. Commercial acumen, knows what markets to tap into and can make a mark up on players, sorting out the fitness / sports science regime, how is it that wednesday players are put out for 8 weeks with twisted ankles? a clear ‘wednesday way’ on the pitch bringing in managers who play our way with the players at the disposal. What we don’t want which many clubs seem to get wrong (even man united) are managers who all play different styles then want to change the squad to suit their players, that can’t happen. With what we’ve had to contend with for years the bar is so low that we will be ecstatic with a DoF who gets the basics right, such as not buying players like daryll lachman for £4 million to never even set foot on Hillsborough.

Open Training Session at Hillsborough
Dorsetowl1997 replied to Chadders's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Let’s hope that it is a few 5-a sides or passing drills then and not set pieces as we don't want the hierarchy of other clubs hijacking the session and figuring us out on set pieces even more than what we already have been. -
Forestieri and Flint on DC exit.

With his little toy finally ending up in the charity shop bag, his name being ripped out of hillsborough, the inevitable pile on from ex players and staff, unpaid debts to unscrupulous businessmen, and his face in those photos of him next to the bridge and in the Chinese restaurant, I can see him doing something stupid … which I must add I hope he doesn’t as much as I detest him. -

Wilder will be struggling to sleep tonight knowing that we could soon be taken over by a competent person who could put us back on the map.

Well well well….. After 10 years of financial illiteracy, treating his employees and other stakeholders like sewer rats, treating the fans with complete and utter contempt, and going from one car crash to another. The man who professed dignity, respect and honour has been confined to a live stream of his name being ripped out of the north stand. It’s all ended in tears, as it usually does for these cretinous individuals.
