  1. I think that would be a great visionary plan, and I think we need to be thinking of innovative ways we can enhance and further the long term prospects of the club. What you suggest would also have a broader city-wide impact and would see the city getting more events, concerts etc. while raising the profile of the Sheffield. How feasible this is is another matter and I doubt we would do this... but I would love to see it
  2. While I would love to stay at Hillsborough as it has so many good memories, tradition, and is an old traditional stadium, I think that the time is right to eventually move on. I’m not comparing us to Man City, but using them as an example as mentioned here previously, they will have likely not wanted to move from Maine Road but look at what they have now - a fantastic stadium, training and academy complex. I don’t think they would want to go back to Maine Road but would probably look back in fondness at the place. I think if we stay long term at Hillsborough we just won’t be able to compete with other teams training facilities, stadium facilities match and non-match day revenues. Looking back at the developments we have had at Hillsborough over the years, such as the now dilapidated cantilever North stand, if we took the side of “keep with tradition,” mentality we wouldn’t have had those developments. I’d like Wednesday to have a stadium we could be proud of, something that would be fit to hold cup semi finals. We need to have every advantage that modern stadia and training facilities offer these days otherwise we are going to be handicapped in the long-term. Although, with a heavy heart, I think a move away is best, I don’t think that a new owner should move too hastily. If we end up with owners that have fairly deep pockets and are ambitious i think they should consolidate, renovate Hillsborough with a view to move in the next decade or so. It may be wise for them to see what sort of crowds we would get in the PL, if we do get there, as that could significantly impact the scope of a new stadium.
  3. I understand and sympathise with you point of view, but if your only point is not going on in case of a points deduction I think you don’t need to worry about it - a points deduction is going to be inevitable surely. Maybe I have misinterpreted your post, but it read as if you think there may not be a points deduction. I think it’s just a matter of how many. personally I’m undecided.
  4. Would he be able to recruit 3x stewards for it with not paying wages? I’m 100% certain that he would try to, as he has before when there has been murmurings of a pitch invasion, but this time I think it may be different. I don’t think he has the ability to do that with the wages and loan due. I think it will be very telling of what the situation is behind the scenes if he can’t increase the steward numbers for it. Hopefully it would be a bellwether for how much the boycotts have impacted his ability to even maintain basic staffing on match days.
  5. I really like this idea. It bridges the gap of not taking direct action that affects matches and abandoning games completely. The latter would obviously penalise us all and reduce the likelihood of survival this season. Your idea of the short delay disrupts the game slightly, doesn’t affect our survival chances and as you say, keeps people talking about it and catapulting it into wider footballing audiences that wouldn’t have generally taken notice.
  6. This is a big shame. I’ve got a lot of fond memories in there, with you and everyone else.
  7. I agree with those suggesting we leave it as it is. Let his name be synonymous with what he has done to our club, the north stand and how he would risk our fans lives.
  8. I sit on the kop, my entrance is on the kop end of the south stand. I got there at 14:40 and I got in at 14:57. Out of the six available turnstiles at that entrance only three were open
  9. I voted no. i think Pulis could do a job but it won’t be what I want to go and pay to see. At least if he gets it there aren’t any crowds at the moment to notice dwindling attendances, so that a positive.
  10. I managed to somehow miss the deadline info, a couple of lines between the screenshots. Attached now.
  11. Please delete if already posted. the EFL app contains an article saying we need to obtain match passes for iFollow for the Watford game prior to 16:00 on Friday 18th. I can’t see any mention of this on the Club website. I would imagine that people would be able to do this on the day and it may be some tactic by the EFL to try and reduce load on the pass system just prior to kick off, but better to be safe than sorry.
  12. It’s a shame Fantham isn’t on this either. Nice poster, hard to accommodate everyone.
  13. Apologies if already mentioned, but we should be having a referendum on how the council is run. A partition submitted to the council to give us the choice of sticking with a strong leadership model (where 10 or so councillors out of 84 are picked by the winning party to essentially rule all- other councillors have no say) and an alternative model where all councillors get equal opportunity to put their view forward/vote on council decisions. Where voters have been given a choice on this the proportional represtation-like model has won every time. I’ll add this caveat that I support the alternative model as I think it will hold council decisions to greater scrutiny and will mean that councillors aren’t cherry picked for the few positions of power under the strong leadership model- none of which represent my area. here’s some info: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-england-south-yorkshire-49798209
  14. Exactly. FF may or may not train well, but it’s the performances on the pitch that matter.
