  1. Personified by bannan and Palmer who refuse to let standards drop, both need a statue building Im sure today will have done a lot to attract prospective buyers as well. Well done lads!
  2. Chansiri got a really good deal for those 3 didn't he
  3. This isnt bring dramatic but I think we could actually end up with 0 points. The squad we will end up with (after a few more sales) for the first game of the season will be league 2 / conference standard at best. Think we will break a lot of records that won't be beaten for a very long time!
  4. And he can probably squeeze in a sale of Charles by the end of the week
  5. Cadamati, shipston and fusire could probably fill those gaps
  6. This has been my major concern. To all the people saying 'bur we can pay 7k a week's The entire point is we ARENT PAYING PEOPLE ON TIME OR AT ALL So why is a player going to entertain the possibility of coming here, when there is very likely to be more reliable options for them... As well as the rest of the circus around the place, points deduction nailed on relegation You'd be mad to even consider it
  7. I love this All players - we have no idea who is this actually is, probably hardly any senior players and the majority of the u21 squad. Coached by who? Academy staff. Cant wait for the social media content, if those guys are still around. You'd think st George's would also only let us on the premises if they've been paid up front. It's also ironic they currently have a PFA training camp for out of contract players training there - so maybe we can leave the squad down there for the summer to be taken by those guys!
  8. Even if one or two of them are getting paid why would even want to stay ? Were the least attractive proposition in the entire football league at the min
  9. Couldn't help but laugh and feel sorry for this kid signing his first 'contract' with us. Poor lad and his family are smiling through gritted teeth wondering if the contract is worth the paper it's written on. https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-wednesday/sheffield-wednesday-contract-joe-emery-5204328
  10. Think that's quite unfair on the guy 'desperate for a job' It seems more like he's the most senior coach in the academy, and all the first team coaching staff have potentially left. So he's been the only possible person remaining at the club to step up and take coaching sessions at the minute. Fair play to him for doing it in the middle of this mess.
  11. Would also be covered by the PFA in some capacity when his deal is up
  12. If he continues beyond the end of his current contract, he would essentially be doing so as a trialist and may need to sign medical waiver documentation or be covered in a trialist policy
  13. You are absolutely correct, regarding players signing for us, literally none will until we have a new owner. Like you say were nailed on for finishing bottom, they can't guarantee that they will actually be paid, you'd take absolutely any option other than coming here. You'd be mad not to!
  14. Röhl moved out of his property in Sheffield, said his goodbyes and got a one way ticket back to Germany weeks ago!!
  15. Just laugh it off mate, no point taking it too seriously. It'll sort itself out in the end!
  16. Think it may have come as a slight surprise to him, that his stock is maybe not as high as he thought! We know hes a top young manager, but it's still a bit of a punt for slightly bigger clubs (better ran) to take a chance on him. I think he thought he'd be nailed on for Southampton and Leicester, but there was a lot of strong competition for those roles. And respectfully he hasn't got a chance of landing the Brentford one yet. Be interesting to see where he ends up by the end of the summer....
  17. It's okay, we'll be a really attractive prospect for other youth players at the moment, so Im sure we'll develop another just like him soon enough
  18. The staff who are meant to communicate it probably haven't been paid, and I wouldn't blame them for downing tools. There hasn't been any social media activity since they haven't been paid, and I wouldn't bother doing anything either if that happened to me!!
  19. Because he's the family idiot, that they happily sent off over here to keep him busy and not ruin the actual family business. They'll be more aware than us that he's a halfwit, and probably happy to swallow up the losses he makes here compared to the more catastrophic damage he'd inflict if he stayed over there!!
  20. That's the sort of thing I'm getting at, I think that will eventually be where the game goes. I do think it will happen, and when it does it's the only way we will be abel to function. We'd be bigger than a newcastle or Sunderland as one city team, and far surpass Leeds (who have more of an interest in rugby)
  21. Yeah I do agree with this, 'Sheffield Wednesday's is much more distinctive from a branding point of view. It even got picked up on in Ted Laso for example. So yeah keep our name and history, club colours etc. absorb their training facilities and fans. The Americans and global investors would really go after that and would make us sustainable, in the next iteration of the premier league.
  22. I know it's been brought up a lot, and I've always laughed it off when it's been suggested that we merge with united. But with the mess we are in with chansiri and no clear way forward, coupled with the abject performance by them yesterday. The city deserves a top tier team and the last 20 years has shown us neither of us are going to sustain being in the premier by ourselves. It got me thinking the only way forward, and to sustain being in the prem for a prolonged period is for us to merge. Pooling training facilities, increasing gate receipts etc. With attempts for a more globalised game, European super league, club world cup etc I think we'll be forced into it at some point to be a viable club. If anyone can point me in the right direction to get the ball rolling it would be much appreciated. Look forward to any other thoughts on this?
  23. A mate of mine works at the academy and said phuthi was a complete nightmare to work with! Looks like the coaches were trying everything to try and get through to him to improve his work rate. For windass to also call him out publicly shows how exasperated they all were with him.
  24. This kid has good fitness and ball winning attributes and looks reasonably tidy and keeps it simple in possession. A potential kante like player for us. We just need to keep dipping him in when we can and maybe get him a loan to league one in January.
