  1. The past few years we should have come out in the second half to You Suffer Why - by Napalm Death. Short and to the point.
  2. Bammo, Bama or Bamz - lots of horrific names for them to go for
  3. The Big Match Revisited is on ITV4 every Saturday. Loads of episodes on catch up. Currently on the 1976 season. It's shattered some of my misconceptions. Last week's episode had players wearing gloves, including Chopper Harris and a few of the Chelsea players. Loads of different clubs singing You'll Never Walk Alone, including Man Utd. The occasional dive here and there. Brian Moore was a much better host than our current ex players. But the biggest surprise is that they put the best game on regardless of teams or divisions. The main game was a third division match with Leeds v Someone in the top flight right at the end. Worth a watch.
  4. If they stop after removing Chan - does that mean the new owners are Apple?
  5. I've tried for Sky tickets a few times but never got any. I've also had free tickets in the past from sponsors and a charity competition. Just because tickets are going from the system doesn't necessarily mean people are buying them.
  6. The only way to get on the pitch and Boycott
  7. I regret it now, but I got rid of a load of old fanzines when I moved house, about a decade ago. Can't remember where they went. The only one I kept was an edition of Boddle. Comedy geniuses those were. Kudos to the writers.
  8. There was talk of his injury being a broken leg after the Bolton game. Thankfully not as severe as initially rumoured
  9. He was also there when Everton were doping. Not surprising they made the odd miraculous comeback full of speed and purple hearts. https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/how-everton-won-league-performance-10426058#amp_tf=From %1%24s&aoh=17585581819975&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.liverpoolecho.co.uk%2Fsport%2Ffootball%2Ffootball-news%2Fhow-everton-won-league-performance-10426058
  10. There are some church bell chimes near me that play that tune and I sing it in my head every time. We also have an ice cream van that plays Yankee Doodle and I sing Come and have a drink with us, we'll drink you to a frenzy...
  11. Fernandes injured at Bolton
  12. Agree, they've done amazingly well. Fernandes broke his leg at Bolton and Siqueira is out injured too, so not even the full strength kids team.
  13. Agreed, especially as their posts all have mistakes in them!
  14. That's a great results lads. Virtually the same team that beat Leeds, and Colchester were unbeaten. It's great that they can beat such a strong team, and Leeds.
  15. Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da by the Beatles I edited that as it didn't scan
  16. If the whistles were to blame for conceding early on in the first half - what was the excuse for conceding early on in the second half? I doubt the whistling was as bad as when we decided to embrace the vuvuzela after the 2010 World Cup. That's as horrible
  17. I do social media for a charity. For a global social media company, Meta's software is terrible. We've had all sorts of issues using either the Facebook or Instagram app, as well as Meta Business Suite. We've had the same issue as this where images have lines either side.
  18. His lack of height was due to being raised on a diet of broken biscuits.
  19. She obviously wasn't at the ground and was presenting on her own - I'd still rather listen to her than have Sam Matterface and Lee Dixon messing things up even when they're at the ground and have access to monitors.
  20. I'm on a few forums and it doesn't matter what the topic, there's always someone causing grief. A certain percentage of the population are morons and unfortunately football amplifies their voices. I follow a non-league side and there was a guy on their forum ranting wildly before their first game about the new manager and why he should be sacked. Nobody could fathom it.
  21. I looked at going today, with being local but couldn't make it in the end. Plus, it's crazy hot out there and they are playing at their training ground rather than Dartford or the Valley.
  22. The final and two semi-finals all went to extra time. In the 360 mins of play, there were six goals, one of which was a penalty. Men's Euros last year had nine goals. There were more goals in the group stages understandably, but it's hardly a goalfest that merits the logistical nightmare of having to swap goals out at grounds galore. For me the big takeaway from the tournament was how much improved the keeping was. Thought Hannah Hampton was great, after a rocky start.
