  1. I think if we are looking short term and trying to stay up, Bannan takes it. If we are trying to build confidence in players that will start to feature regularly this season and next, then McNeill takes it. What difference do results make this season really? We looked decent for good parts, yes we lost but that means nothing this year.
  2. Pretty sure there will be an asterisk next to our record low points total. Either way, relegation is relegation and I like to look on the bright side. We know it's coming and most have accepted it now. Better than getting sent down by a 95th minute equaliser after being put through the wringer for 46 games. As for what other clubs fans think, who really gives a cr@p.
  3. He is expecting a baby elephant calf. 18-22 month gestation period
  4. Obviously everyone hoping for some charming billionaire philanthopist who looks a bit like Colin Firth and is clean as a whistle. However, this seems unlikely and the reality of the situation is we need someone who knows how to run a business, even better if they know how to run a football business. Mike Ashley would stabilise us without being too bothered about everyone loving him. None of the things that begged belief about the previous incumbent would happen and in a few years, those dreamy mega money folk may come sniffing around. We've got to be honest. A toddler could have done a better job at Hillsborough this last 10 years than he who shall not be named. A ruthless businessman could be the natural next step. What I would be more worried about is whether or not he is bothered about who then buys the club off him.
  5. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned
  6. I'm more concerned with the fact we haven't won any of the last 7 derby games, the last one was 12+ years ago.
  7. That old chestnut. Personally think worrying or commentating about attendence figures figures should be confined to the blunts forum.
  8. Someone may have already said this but whilst the administrators have to accept the highest legitimate offer, there are other softer options open to them before that comes, whilst of course staying within the boundaries of law. Yes, ultimately, they can't stop someone questionable in their eyes as Wednesday fans making the highest bid, but they can make life harder for them without breaking the rules. This for me is where the EFL, with help from the new regulator, could improve their fit and proper check. Dejphon Chansiri passed it historically FFS. Aside from having the money and likely to continue to have the money, are they a good egg, not a psychotic narcacist, can they evidence decent business acumen continiually, will they agree to be approved on licence every year etc. That said, a redraft of the EFL rules and a suitable set of laws for a regulator would be tricky, largely for fear of discrimination and contradiction of our existing maze of legislation.
  9. Why waste your energy being furious now, what will it acheive? The most important thing has happened with Chansiri going. It's now a waiting game, trouble is some people seem to think the club can be rebuilt in a day.
  10. We would still be bottom of the league with any manager in world football. I get it, a 3-0 derby loss to them lot hurts but look at the debris of our post chansiri squad and get a better perspective
  11. What I saw was the wind knocked out of our sails early and a real lack of quality to make a difference, added to a ref that protected Sheff Utd
  12. There was effort but pound for pound, man for man, the Blades had our number. No point being angry about it, the only thing that has changed is Chansiri is no longer here. The ruin remains.
  13. Dont be such a numpty Fortunately, money men wont think like you
  14. It is what it is, look at the two sides. Not sure what some people were expecting. We have 3 Championship quality players at a push. Let's not overreact to this
  15. Good evening Mr Pedersen. Don't panic, most think you're doing a grand job under the circumstances
