I spoke to my old man who said that he was told he left Man City in the summer due to a new man coming in and he didn’t get along with that new head man, so he’s been unemployed for a while and this job came up so he took it to “get back in the game”. He travels from Manchester daily - which can’t be much fun especially in winter. Also I’m informed that DC has always been supportive of groundstaff with salaries and machinery etc it seems it’s just hard to find staff in certain industries hence why the club struggle to attract people for grass roles. The previous head man has gone to Sheffield united on a few £k more, but club did offer more money to him however. This is the 5th head man in 5-6 years, however it seems the previous 3 were already at the club in an assistant position after they replaced the young lad they had from Scunthorpe. Good luck to the new man and hopefully he has some magic in his shed to get us through the season and beyond.

Yeah they have a head groundsman and 2 assistants, think it was a case of they needed extra hands so the office staff etc came from what I saw on that article. Current Head Groundsman only came last year, he was there previously and job was too much for them apparently and he’s going to United to work at their Training Ground - my old man told me who is friends with some staff there. Don’t think it’s a case of Chansiri not supporting them as he has done with new machinery and new under pitch heating system - it’s more a case of the job being too much for a small team as they can’t seem to find staff to employ hence why one advert has been out constantly. I saw at last game there was only 2 staff on pitch before game and 3 at HT - there used to be 4 or 5 on there.

Or could be that Chris Chansiri owns that company - hence just reposted their social media posts

Very worried as seems we have no groundsman and no real quality for the championship!! Top 6 finish needs top 6 players and stability -
Because she was far too good to work at the club and had no control
-
Next is the stadium naming rights! Guaranteed that’s next on the agenda
-
Mental!! No way to be protected and I bet as soon as ppl get close to the ground they get mugged by a gang of Swfc staff in balaclava
-
The worrying part is “for as long as club ain’t in premiership” which says “when we reach the premier we will charge £2k for a season ticket”
-
I’m sorry but he’s defo trolling us all now!!!

Service in what way? Do you mean furlough and borrowing funds from schemes like every other football club? and deferring HMRC payments. -
Used to be a fiver now £500 per person unfortunately and have to go at either 3am or 10pm with extra for lighting - a minimum of 10 ppl

Last nights meeting with Chansiri

All this for the promised land of the Premier League! Does anyone really want the club to be in the Premier? what does it actually achieve other than better revenue streams? If we get promoted its just another way to rinse fans and do a Blackpool where he can take as much back from the club as possible -

Like what has done by previous owners in the past - Rotherham, Barnsley and Hull spring to mind -

Yes I agree the gamble failed, he bought the club in the hope of doubling his outlay within 12-18 months - this failed and he doesn't have the skillset or the people around him to make it work now unfortunately -

Yes I got the sarcastic nature, but was pointing out there are costs however I think that the £30m loss may have been a miscalculation on his part or he intends to get the club to buy back the stadium? -

Looking through companies house, he has many businesses registered that link in and maybe some of the creditors for some are associated with the losses also, such as Elev8 clothing, Elev8 drinks 1.3m, then the multitude of SHEFFIELD 1,2,3,4,5 companies he has operating. All I assume are there to get beyond P&L and FFP its just so messy behind the scenes in terms of the way hes trying to or tried to generate cash flow without getting other shareholders on board -

I would suggest this is based on improved contracts to players, with bonuses attached to promotion. expectation of increased spending around the club and the expectation of £ needs spending on new players without the injection of ''sponsorship'' money (chansiri name cant be used eveywhere) Not fully sure how the 22m excess is worked out however and may be a throw away comment to make fans think he is pumping in the difference -

His appointments of managers haven't been that bad tbf - they weren't given the tools or support to do the job properly (other than Carlos year 1) its as if he cant decide on a model that works for his management recruitment, he does the foreign manager based on what? other people having a vested interest financially in this appointments and he then gets in failed English league managers in, who will have had carte blance in the past on transfer dealings. -

Luhakay was the fall guy for Chansiri wanting only youth in the team as thought was simple to get youth in the team and sell for millions! He realised it wouldn't work and then saved face and sacked him using players such as westwood and hutchinson not being picked as a reason also, when in fact he was the one who didn't want them playing due t their disruptive nature and clauses that were triggered -
Not good though, so we have a limited squad, top match ticket prices, high mascot packages and now no head groundsman!!! what a shi7 show
