  1. Yeah reachy ,get stuck in like they did in the old days, and join the other idiots that have managed 7 very costly red cards .
  2. Mariner didn't even give a foul, and then those idiots commentating defended the tackle.
  3. Middlesbrough just announced a loss of 35 million.
  4. Funny thing today as I stuck on bbc radio, just caught the end of them discussing lucas at Reading, whoever it was said the only problem with him was his body language stinks, you can tell how he's going to play by it.
  5. Correct,I never understood the moaning about the deal, good business ,we can't lose one way or the other.Bazza has probably done us a favour really as he could have refused to sign and we would have had no chance of any brass
  6. I think subconsciously I must have started to accept the inevitability of it all when I started to look at who I'd prefer to go up and down from the Championship and Division 4,and the ones i'd prefer. It's still Division 3 for me ,League one was invented to make sound like you're not as bad as you actually are.
  7. Totally agree, was thinking that on every time we had men on the ball,I was actually shouting at the TV,for gods sake someone move for them, only not as polite. Watch City ,I know that is an extreme case of how it's done, but everyone is on the move all the time. The number of our players who just stood there behind Norwich players without trying to move and help was crazy. Don't know if it's fitness or just brain dead, but like Owli said ,it's what we were taught as kids.
  8. To be honest the boy wonder, has struggled since his return to the side, but any young fella would probably be finding it hard with all that's going on. Chance for him to come off the bench and show what he can do without the pressure of starting against a very experienced Norwich side.
  9. Been done to death before this topic,do try and keep up.
  10. Interesting how views differ on players of clubs outside your own area.I live in North Yorkshire and it is mainly Middlesbrough fans so the local radio is about their games. The players that get most stick on the shows are Assombalonga,Wing and the goalie .Wing came from local footy and gets plenty of ''should go back to it' . Other side of the coin ,with me being an Owl ,they always banged on how good Nando and Atdhe were, probably with Atdhe cos he usually scored against them. With Nando probably as it was a cool name or something. Of course every time Adam Reach scores ,it's who was it who decided to sell him?. My friend has a box at the Riverside and I''ve been to a number of games, free food and free beer the main attraction.Must add Wing has not really impressed me on those occasions.
  11. I knew I'd seen Browns technique for that corner before, and I've just seen it again,on You've been framed,a two year old girl kicks the ball and it hits her brother in the mush with the spoon kick.
  12. We took two metres off the pitch and brown still couldn't get it in the box ,what kind of technique was that.the spoon foot.
  13. Jesus you've got a problem, you don't have to come on here just to blame someone or something,I didn't know that was the criteria.
  14. Excuse me ,where did I blame him?,Master Shaw didn't cover himself in glory either ,but I'm not blaming him either.
  15. Well I hope Lee Mason is proud of himself, they just went through the bookings on Quest and Mason hasn't covered himself in glory. Having said that he showed himself to be a prat on a number of occasions this season.
  16. I'm with you WO,I was thinking this is not good last night, but hang in for a point and we can go again against Brum.As it is looks like we've rode our luck and not too much damage has been done but we can't afford to keep hoping other s failing will do us favours..
  17. I feel some wife/girlfriend jokes coming.
  18. My friend is head groundsman at a championship club, when talking to him a few years ago just before we played them in a cold spell.he said its not that simple as just switching on and off. It's very expensive, approx 2 grand a day,but you can't just switch it on and that's it.For a start the powers that be have to be consulted so you aren't wasting brass and its really needed. When there is a really cold spell it has to be on for days .If there is a big wind chill coming through the ground it may not stop these areas from freezing so you can have just a few icy patches, refs hate these more than anything as they would also freeze quicker as temperature drops,so if he then has to abandon he won't take the risk. There are a lot of other things that come up as well but I can't remember them with great detail, apparently when you switch it off if you don't need it for a while and it freezes it damages the grass, something to do with making it brittle. Ours might be bust or DC can't afford it but those some off the reasons why its not always the perfect answer. 4pm =5
  19. We are too nice, the number of times we have had that thrown at the players on here.Unfortunately in modern footie most teams have the guy who gets in the refs ear .If our man is Dunks so be it,with Hutch at it and Baz at least its a start, then Patto can step in and calm it all down with a laugh with the ref.
  20. Oooooooops. Tommo not going to change it at the moment, front pair getting through loads of work and shutting down well. Bring on Jordan Rhodes when the lads are knackered the right thing to do or when DC text manager to say ,put him on now..
  21. Long journey back home, but i bet that bus ride will seem a bit shorter, the boys will be buzzing.
  22. He lived near me in North Yorkshire and I played with him in the North Riding County team and against him for school. He was the stand out player and in those days scouts flocked to English Schools Cup games. The Wednesday scout was always around and me being from Sheffield and an Owl I tried like hell to impress,Probably too hard when I think ,I wouldn't pass to any bugger, wizard of the dribble, not. He was a year older than me and when he signed for the Owls I was delighted and thought ,that could be me next year, but sadly not good enough. His family still live nearby.
  23. Ever since he came here Joey has been one of the best at celebrating, always finishes with a fist to the fans.Just imagine if he was to score in front of the Kop.
