  1. Think quite a few would.
  2. Very good signing IMHO.
  3. If he can't keep one of the best supported and most fanatical sets of fans in football, with a 20000+ waiting list for season tickets, then he must be doing something wrong. They averaged over 50000 in the 8 seasons before he arrived, so on another level to us, and in his tenure won f/all. He is hated with a venom on Tyneside and also his ex business partners. Can't stand him and hope he keeps well away from us.
  4. Is it me getting old but the "hoolies" at H/Corner looked about 13/15 years old.
  5. The Blunts were on the Kop.
  6. Bit late on this one, but the Blades had more fans in the ground than the pigs. Very sad for Gerry that so few pigs attended.
  7. Need something similar to Derby or Leicester grounds. Similar sized fan base, and it would be nice to play in a near full ground every home game. Plus some hot water in the bogs.
  8. What a joke our city is. Imagine the police/transport operators in Liverpool, London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow etc with twice as many fans attending being scared to carry out their duties. Last couple of games it's just been sabre rattling Owls holding the Middlewood fort and Blunts attacking. Handbags at 10 paces. Hope the Council reduces their funding for dereliction of duties.
  9. Always been vocal. Can remember in the seventies them giving us a tousing in town and at the station.
  10. Gave me a bit of a fright too.
  11. Thx, looking at the photo he does look a bit like a Toddles.
  12. Is this the best ever for an old Owls player, Toddles Woolhouse. Thought I knew most of our strange named players but never heard of this one.
  13. As I said all clubs have some poor seasons attendance wise. Still more than ours. FFS stop trying to get me sticking up for Leeds, only answer when someone is incorrect.
  14. He's no chance of getting Derby. The price would be astronomical.
  15. Since the days of Fantham, Dobson and Bronco. Like every other club they get a crap period. In mid 2000's they were averaging about So what's your point. 25000 in Championship and Ist div.
  16. Hate Leeds with a vengeance, second only to Blunts, but never averaged half full Bellend Rd. Averages been in mid 30K to high 30K's most of the time. Problem for them is they don't have a big ground and that's why they have a 20000 + queue for Season Tickets.
  17. Not sure. In the last 30 years we have been in the top flight twice as often as they have, been in 3td tier 4 times to their 6. Their journeys in to the top flight, one season apart, have been crap. Will be interesting how we both get on in the same division next season.
  18. Blunts will be in tears too after last night.
  19. Jeez this is starting to get sad and sadder. Who hives a damn that a team in a Mickey Mouse league show backing. In fact they did similar when Bury folded. Just getting a little tired of the sympathy angle. Let's just get a new owner and start afresh.
  20. Come on, they are traditionally one of our top and best supported clubs. With backing they would be potentially an elite club.
  21. Not too bothered as long as we don't get Fatty Ashley.
  22. determined to buy Wolves.
  23. That's the worry. His consortium of which he is in control own the ground. This will not be part of a winding up order.
  24. Shame they include ST and /freebie holders who don't go in the attendance figures. If they didn't it would really show Chancer how we really feel about him, with an 8/10000 crowd.
