  1. The administrators would not be able to name a preferred bidder who they know will fail the EFL owners test no matter the amount of the bid. Doing so would prolong their job, which is to sell the club That group would not be granted permission to own another club in the pyramid as it’s against ownership rules.
  2. I taught secondary school business studies for a number of years. Your post seems a bit unfair on Year 10 kids. Sometimes they’d have a meltdown over something, I’ll give you that, I’ve been called a few swear words a few times. But I’m pretty confident none of them would buy a pirates chest full of Ugandan gold hoping to flip it for a quick sale.
  3. Most of his controversial performances came after he trasnferred to the Vatican I understand. I didn’t follow his career that closely from that point. I’m mostly a fan of his work as cardinal.
  4. Cardinal Masci. A blast from the past that one. Up there in my top 5 cardinals of all time.
  5. Purchased a ticket for my 7-year-old daughter to this one. It’s her first game since Blackburn in 2023. She’s not into football itself, but she appreciated everything around the match day experience last time we went. UTO! Up the Blue and White Night!
  6. Great gesture Daniel. The form you are talking about comes from WTID Podcast. See below.

  8. A person working in the club shop yesterday said “we can call him what we want now he’s gone! Honestly it’s been horrendous…” then they stopped themselves from saying anymore. It’ll all come out…
  9. I bought a couple bits yesterday, and I’ve still got my eye on a dog bowl, all to support the club…I don’t have a dog.
  10. We did a good job. The queue for the merch tils in the club shop was already snaking around the store and to the door when I was in there, well before 1pm. Barely any pies left at 2pm on the Grand Stand. They had run out of Wednesday IPA before HT. I left the Wednesday tap about 7:30pm, the only thornbridge beer left was a Czech one. They squeezed the last pint of Green Mountain at about 7pm. Lukas and the others had already run dry. There was no food left except for a single solitary bag of pork scratchings. The staff did a fantastic job. I spoke to an employee and at 9am Friday they had a meeting where they were told they wouldn’t be opening the Wednesday Tap. A couple of hours later the administrators were in and people were making calls to try and get as much stock as possible. #drinkTheGroundDry
  11. Really pleased and strangely proud when switching the TV on and seeing how empty the stands look. It makes staying away feel worthwhile.
  12. Couldn’t he have just sold his house?
  13. End of September was his final chance to sell. With the ground/loan situation and offers still on the table everyone hoped he’d bite the bullet by then. We’ve hung onto this all Summer. And here we are, 4 days into October with nothing changing and fans now forced to take the next step. One man alone is responsible for the protests stepping up. Protests will escalate from here and he’ll be forcibly removed in due course by the powers that be and I hope he gets a deal worth nothing in the end. Today was the worst I’ve ever seen Hillsborough. Like an empty shell. Food/drink outlets shut. No one there other than season ticket holders and all the stands bare by the 60th minute. But none of the fans I speak to in the ground are broken. Still unified, still cracking jokes it’s the Sheffield way, but more importantly still willing to fight this. They’ll only be one winner in this fight. And it won’t be a Thai “businessman”.
  14. He’s defensively minded. Throws himself at everything, tries to win anything that’s loose in the box and makes us look more solid. We’ve needed that type of player at times this season and that’s not a dig at any other players. Anyone who’s pulled on a shirt this season is a credit.
