  1. It makes no sense does it that Chansiri can’t see that even if he hangs on through January and/or manages to beat a regulator in courts, he will be left with a football club with hardly any fanbase and no income coming from them. Which means the club will eventually close down
  2. Indeed this is what i was saying yesterday, other EFL clubs can be annoyed if our sanctions are reduced/relaxed, but we are on the verge of extinction. As you say, this isn't like a typical situation where a club has a full playing squad of senior players, and gets hit with a points deduction. Whilst its owners are paying wages & bills etc. Our present owner is putting no money into the club and its going to die. We need all the football community to appreciate we need help here.
  3. You do have to pray that what they are telling potential buyers in confidence may be slightly different, regarding sanctions being relaxed. But from what Textor said, and those who can't be named on here anymore, it sounds like its one of the main things putting people off spending £40m+ to buy the club.
  4. Yep that's probably linked to what Textor was saying about it being very complicated and discussing it with the league. No doubt investors want assurances they will be able to buy players rather than spend £40m+ to own a club and they can't bring their own players in. EFL saying it will go to a tribunal and they can't guarantee the outcome, cheers for that.
  5. Just feels like nothing is happening all the time.
  6. Well, that's a depressing read. Confirms EFL can't do anything, so we are going to need the Regulator to get him out
  7. Fair enough, i didn't word my post very well as i meant Beevers had a decent championship career, whereas Talbot was only ever in league 1, 2 and non league. And my main point was i thought Beevers would become good enough to be a premier league player.
  8. With Joao I don’t think it helped his development by being in and out the team at 23 and being replaced by the likes of Winnall and Rhodes. Who you could argue didnt bring more to the team than Joao used to Once he went to reading and was a starting player he was really good. And I believe got linked with prem move to Fulham at the time
  9. Beevers is a good shout, I remember being at the Southampton game when he made his debut and he was 17 or 18 and looked physically ready despite his young age. To be fair he did have a decent EFL career, unlike some youngsters who really sunk. Like Morrison or Talbot.
  10. A bit like those who say wednesday aren’t a big club just because they haven’t been in the top flight for 25 years. Never mind the fact our fanbase is huge and the cr*p owners are to blame for our failure. And Rangers aren’t a big club coz they’ve only won one title in the past 14 years. Or maybe, it’s because they haven’t had the right managers and player recruitment. Things could change for them if they made better decisions
  11. Expecting Brighton to make a move for him in January
  12. I think its pretty clear he's talking about the regulator's steps for all clubs, not just Wednesday. When issues arise, the regulator will try and help the owner resolve them, if that can't happen they will have the owner removed. It would be a pretty shocking state of affairs if they just start kicking owners out straight away without trying to understand the reasons behind the issues and seeing if they can help fix them
  13. This ^ new owners can appoint new managers and sign new players. We can’t do anything with Chansiri as owner
  14. We are still waiting to learn what’s happening. It wasn’t a 7 days grace for Chansiri to pay the owed money. The lender had 7 days to trigger action to take ownership of the stadium That deadline for them is tomorrow. so we will likely learn on companies house tomorrow or Friday what’s happened there
  15. Always expect the worst, but its hard to believe anyone would be dumb enough to loan chansiri money when he won't be getting money in from supporters, and the money from the league system/TV will reduce as we plummet down the leagues too. "i'd like to borrow £10m please, but i will have no means of paying it back. Deal?" .
  16. I had that shirt with number 7, Quinn on the back. he then went to play for the pigs, so i couldn't wear it ever again.
  17. From the BBC.... One of Kogan's biggest priorities is expected to be Sheffield Wednesday. Last month Nandy warned owner Dejphon Chansiri that "change is coming" amid continued calls for the Thai businessman to sell the cash-strapped Championship club. Various embargoes have been placed on the club for tax debts and late payments to players and staff. Last week it was revealed that player and staff wages were again not paid on time for the fifth time in seven months. Nandy said that "if necessary, the football regulator can intervene in order to remove an owner who is threatening the future of the club". She said: In Sheffield Wednesday's case, I am really extremely concerned about the current ownership and the lack of willingness to sell the club and invest in the club, something I've been discussing very closely with local MPs."
  18. Saw the other day a supporter of another club, may have been Oldham saying how owls fans are pathetic for letting their club be destroyed. It’s nothing to do with the fans, it’s solely the owner who is to blame and what owls fans are doing is amazing, to boycott games, food and merchandise. Whilst we continue the current boycott it’s down to the authorities to get Chansiri out now, whether that’s the EFL or the regulator.
  19. Remember that time we lost 2-6 at home to Keegan’s Man City? Could be a similar tale on Saturday
  20. Reminds me a bit of Grant Holt. Who many will remember didn't have a stella youth career, was at Workington after released by Carlisle, but after being with us ended up being a very good EFL striker for Rochdale, Norwich and Forest. Although it was effectively Sunday league, Brown scored 47 goals in 26 appearances in one season for Leeds UFCA. I hope we get new owners soon so we can keep players like Brown, for when we are in league 1 next season he could really flourish
  21. Really frustrating we finally have some very promising young players in Charles, Weaver, Brown and the rest. And we could lose them all for pennies due to the ****head owner
  22. Absolutely gutting tonight, but we have a much bigger fight this season than what happens on the pitch We are going down once a 20+ points deduction is enforced. Our battle is getting rid of the worst owner in the history of football, before May 2026 so that new owners can get the club ready for the climb back from league 1
  23. Players need to be commended by how they have dealt with this, but times up now they need to stop playing. Starting tomorrow night what if they get a serious injury playing whilst not being paid? Ridiculous
