  1. Player on a Hat trick stepping up is hardly a shock, is it? People are overreacting to it because he lost the game, but in reality, it doesn't matter, we're going down. If Bannan had stepped up and missed, people would have said he should have let McNeil take it, let's not pretend otherwise. I'm fairly sure the OP will have seen much worse in 44 years if they actually chose to think about it properly. Personally, I wouldn't bother and try and focus on the future.
  2. There is a difference between Campbell and other United players "goading" Wednesday fans in a celebration and Wednesday fans throwing things. I don't actually think United's players did anything this time. Not like Brewster last season who I personally think DID incite the crowd. Again, no excuse for anyone to throw anything. All I saw this time was a bit of a reaction from their players when things were thrown. On the fine, were we not already on a final warning for this kind of stuff?
  3. Very much doubt we will have done. It is a bit of a surprise that lot aren't on the list.
  4. As ever, the narrative is being shifted by the thick. I don't think any sensible Wednesday fan is saying United shouldn't celebrate the win. Personally I'd say the picture on the pitch and getting the selfie sticks out is a bit much. Last season it kind of made sense because, at that point they looked odds on for automatic promotion. This was a routine win while sitting 3rd bottom, 6 months on from being 15 minutes away from the Premier League. Id want a little bit more. Winning at Hillsborough is by far the easiest task for Championship football teams this season. They will look a tad silly if they lose to Portsmouth. They'll not go down. But there isn't going to be this 2nd half of the season surge some think there will be.
  5. Yeah, I wouldn't want to keep around a player who is proven at that level, very rarely injured, can play in multiple positions, popular in the dressing room, has the respect of the players and staff, doesn't moan, has the best interest of the club at heart and would probably not be asking for stupid money. Yeah, can't be having any of those kinds of players around, eh.
  6. Well, considering we haven't won at home on a Saturday at 3PM since April 2024, I think that's a good suggestion, to be honest.
  7. We've both won 2. We beat Derby on New Year's Day and Middlesbrough on Easter Monday.
  8. Played a big part in the miracle as well.
  9. Chalobah is a good footballer. We've seen it in short spells. However, availability is often the best ability. No player wants to be injured. It's just a sad fact of the game and like others have said, if you're in that sort of market, you have to take gambles on players. It's not worked out, sadly.
  10. If we're going on their individual strikes (I mean goals, not that kind of strike) v Norwich then it's Forestieri. If we're asking who has the better collection of goals overall then it's Bannan. Obviously Baz has the advantage of having been here a lot longer.
  11. Always try to give a player a fair chance. Two I got wrong were Rob Jones and David Stockdale. Hadn't though Jones was that good having seen him at Scunthorpe but was very good for us. Stockdale, didn't really rate him before he signed but grew to like him a lot and think he was massively important in the dressing room in 22/23.
  12. Thickest fanbase around. The ammount of them unable to grasp that he's put the club and ground into admin makes me wonder how they go about their day-to-day lives.
  13. …all those blades, Barnsley and Rotherham fans who are still coming to terms with the loss of their former leader. Even the idea of Wednesday finding an owner who might have their head(s) screwed on has sent them into a meltdown. Hilarious.
  14. and then lost the game after as well. He's a full weight to55er.
