The problem with Bannan being further forward is we usually have no one to look after the ball before it gets to him…so he ends up starved of anything

In reality, Pedersen shouldn’t really be criticized too much for not picking this player or that one He’s got 5 players (Bannan, Cooper, Amass, Valery, Lowe) that are good Championship players, a handful who are experienced but inadequate at this level (Palmer, Iorfa, Lowe, Ugbo, Ingelsson) and the rest look nowhere near Its hard enough for him to fashion a decent XI to compete, nevermind be able to make changes during the game
