  1. It's great news to learn that income cannot fund spending commitments, as it means it can only get worse. He will be desperate to get any money he can from the club, as every penny reduces the amount he has to find or inject. To that extent if he can hold creditors off until January, he can sell anyone with a value and pay as many of the creditors as possible. But this is all short term thinking as he still has monthly overheads every month, so trying to delay the inevitable is like King Canute. HE NEEDS TO swallow his pride, and accept he has made a right mess of it and accept he is going to lose a crapload of money. There is no OUT for him other than to sell now and get what anyone will pay for it. WE NEED TO starve him of cash, and most importantly any season ticket money. NOBODY should renew. If we do that we force him to swallow his pride and he will be unable to carry on.
  2. This is so sad and such a shock. RIP and condolences to his family. Just 61, so it highlights how we all need to live every day we have on this planet. I met Mark on many occasions in London particuarly in relation to financing clubs and bouncing around unique ideas about creative ways of structuring funding deals. We came very close to working together in his company. He was Wednesday through and through and extremely intelligent with great insight, and I always thought he would have some hand in any solution to get us out of the mess we are in. So sad.
  3. 350K....
  4. Really enjoyed that and how they prepared for success despite being 4-0 down. That night will never be forgotten and has had global impact - and Barry's fighting spirit shone through. What a servant of this club.
  5. If he can stumble through to January, he will raise enough from sales to see out this season. It is vital that a resounding message is sent to him that nobody will buy season tickets while he remains involved in any way. Anyone buying a season ticket is on his side and enabling him. I'm encouraged that the penny seems to be dropping, but of every action we can do, that would be the biggest and most effective by a country mile. He cannot start off in League 1 with no fans and no tickets sold. We have to make sure we don't blink first.
  6. The problem with Silver Lining is that it's not unique. We need to find something that is unique only to us.
  7. DC = 'Player of month, so January price for young Ernie is £10m'. Buying club = 'But we all know you are skint and the players aren't being paid, so our offer is $100k'. DC = 'DONE DEAL'
  8. On a B road in Thailand...
  9. The thing I love is every one of these guys is giving their all for the fans. Working their socks off when it would be easy to down tools and just go through the motions.
  10. He sneaked into that space at the back post on the great cross from Bannan. But then his calm finish, where he cushioned his shot to keep it down and steered into the opposite side of the goal was very impressive. Looks like a really good and exciting prospect.
  11. That tackle, to stop what looked like a certain goal, was as good you will see all season.
