  1. There is absolutely no way new owners will allow the club to sit in league 1 for more than 1 season. I've said in another thread I can see around 15 players coming in. 5 top quality prem loans 4-5 high end Championship free agents who but into the project 4-5 of the best league one free transfers available I will be surprised if they don't throw at least £20 million at the annual wage bill in the short term. You've then got no more front loading of season ticket revenue so that can all help run the club through the year. There will be significant investment and significant expectation we bounce back at the first attempt.
  2. Happy to merge as long as we are called Sheffield Wednesday, play in blue and white and have nice new shiny blue stadium.
  3. Squad come August 2026 5 of the best Premier league loans. 3-4 Championship Free transfers on big wages £30k p/w each that buy into the project and willing to drop a level for 1 season 3-4 of the best league one players available Charles NEW Valery Bernard NEW NEW NEW Weaver NEW Lowe NEW NEW NEW NEW Bannan Ingelsson NEW NEW NEW Brown Cademarteri NEW
  4. Horvath: 3 Poor keeper, occasional decent point blank save but overall really poor Palmer: 2 Time is up, doesn't play with enough urgency, doesn't track back, poor marking and positional awareness for this level. Iorfa: 1 Bomb scare, can't pass, can't tackle, can't head it. M. Lowe: 3 To slow, to casual. Fusire: 1 Never going to be good enough i'm afraid. Amass: 7 on another planet compared to the rest in blue and white. Valery: 3 To casual. Bannan: 3 Cannot keep pace with a high tempo game, signs of age are there for all to see. Ingelsson: 3 awful first touch, losses possession all the time. J. Lowe: 3 ran around a lot but didn't do anything Ugbo: 0 like playing with 10 men. Utterly awful
  5. If we are being serious next year then we need to sign 15 players. We need 5 defenders, 6 midfielders and 4 strikers. Sign the best premier league loans, and the best league 1/ championship players available. £20k per week is £1m a season. 15 players on those sorts of wages with a blend of youth and experience will see us at the top of the division. Crowds / Atmosphere will be decent. Momentum builds and something special. We have been absolutely gutted in terms of creativity. £15m on wages would do the trick.
  6. With every points deduction we can erase the below embargos. HMRC will be happy, EFL will be happy as maintains integrity of the rules. Other clubs cannot complain as we have been given our punishment.
  7. It's not fresh its overdue from all of DC's legacy with failure to pay players, staff, other clubs etc
  8. If the EFL want to help us they will get whatever points deduction needed applied this side of Christmas. Which Kris kind of insinuates is going to happen. New owners, major investment in the team, installed as bookies favorites to win league one. In 12 months time we will be top of league one talking about the prospect of going straight through the Champ into the premier league in 2027/28. Just go to put up with crap for another month.
  9. We've had 5+ embargos this season already. They would normally carry 2-3pts each so we probably have another 12 points getting deducted. No reason to think they will not be applied this season. We have suffered enough and the EFL know it. There also wouldn't be 6 or 7 buyers if there was any doubt about starting next season on minus points. What we need from the EFL is a complete clean slate so we can pay fees and not have any restrictions on signing players from the summer onwards.
  10. Seen walking out of Walmart with a SWFC dippy egg board...
  11. Gi Feet back!
  12. To many people with way to much nostalgia. If this is about competing at the top end of the Championship or being a stable Premier league club long term we MUST maximise non match day revenue. A redeveloped Hillsborough wouldn’t really change anything. We need to relocate near the M1 potentially close to Meadowhall, it does need to be a 50k seater. Roads, restaurants, retail, casinos, hotels, whole infrastructure needs building. Look at what Birmingham are planning…that should be the blueprint.
  13. It’s all about significantly improving the whole infrastructure of the club. New 50k seater stadium away from S6, that can hold concerts, other sporting events and be used on all other non match days. New first team training complex, with gyms, swimming pools, indoor and outdoor state of the art training pitches. Redevelop middle wood road for the Academy. If the above can be done the club will naturally progress with some investment in the squad And a wee statue of Barry.
  14. Wish list... Blue version of Arsenals Emirates stadium. Just off the M1, lit up like an iconic Wembley of the north to all passers by. Complete future proof infrastructure, new access roads, train station, tram stop. A huge museum located close by dedicated to the birthplace of Football, make it a global attraction that puts Sheffield on the map. More hotels, shops, restaurants, casino's. But would take £2 billion to achieve it
