  1. I would imagine the way the proceeds from the sale are doled out is formulaic and not discretionary.
  2. I thought it had been confirmed that there are already bids big enough to exceed the 25% threshold, so the points deduction wont be in play.
  3. Well at least they knew there is another club in Sheffield (and I don't mean Josephine's), whereas Knighthead had to be told there was another club in Birmingham, had never heard of Aston Villa.
  4. And Knighthead have told the government to hurry up and build the new HS2 station, or none of this will happen. The actual football club, Birmingham City are being used to leverage for all this. Lucky for them of course, but not comparable with anything else.
  5. Could Josh be classed as a maverick?
  6. I really liked him. His equalizer against the Pigs would be my favourite goal if it wasn't for what happened thirty seconds later.
  7. I want a new owner with a lot of money and a lot of business savvy (which will bring in football savvy). Really don't want to be like Reading with a careful, competent owner with very limited financial resources. Their euphoria at getting rid of Dai Yongge has totally evaporated now.
  8. If there's a Director of Football does it mean that the manager is 'just' the Head Coach?
  9. The total success of the Middlesbrough boycott will go down in history and in fan lore. I'm sure it's no coincidence that Chansiri gave in right after. The way the Trust mobilized the fans was a phenomenal achievement. Thank you guys!
  10. Saturday Night by Whigfield, especially if we win (I can barely believe I wrote that!)
  11. Can an insolvent company legally even offer for sale a service that isn't due to be delivered for nearly a year?
  12. Is there a table?
  13. I can't believe it would be legal, with the obviously insolvent state of the club, to try to sell them.
  14. It looks like we're relying on HMRC to put an end to this farrago. So much for EFL or IFR.
  15. Could somebody from the Trust elucidate what the EFL meant here? It all sounds so imminent and dire.
  16. What are the EFL on about when they asked the Trust if they are prepared for an insolvency event? What can the Trust actually do?
  17. I like Arsenal's North London Forever. I feel embarrassed for Rangers still walking out to Simply the Best.
  18. Wrexham today announced a new 7 million pounds investment, in exchange for one share in the club. So basically a gift. To be used as the club sees fit - wages, or January window, or to help with the new stand. Rob and Ryan are open, smart, have a plan, employ experts to carry it out, and they sit back and people give them money. Our useless, secretive, go it alone owner meanwhile haunts usurious loan sharks because he has no mates, nobody respects him or believes in his ability to succeed. We need to get him out - and well done to the real fans who can see it.
  19. I think the new regulator is going to take a hard look at the insanity of Championship finances and force some changes.
  20. I miss the European Cup. A knockout competition for the WINNERS of their leagues. Those matches meant something. European games are now ten-a-penny and commensurately lack any sense of theatre.
  21. What I don't understand is why the money keeps showing up a week or so late, but showing up from somewhere. Maybe this time it finally doesn't show up at all and it's all over. But if it can turn up a week late, every time, why the f*ck can't it turn up on time?
  22. Controversial philanderer! I imagine Cary Grant delivering the line. In black and white.
  23. Must have changed since the 70's then.
  24. West Bridgeford is part of Nottingham though. Forest play at the City Ground because it's in the city of Nottingham, whereas Notts County are not in the city, even though closer to the city centre. Hence the names.
