  1. McKenna reported to be their number target. McKenna's ambitious like Röhl, he'll probably force the move if he wants to take it.
  2. Didn’t think first one was, went down easily and was looking for it. Thought Charles one was stonewall from the kop but have heard that the Cov player pulled his leg in and wasn’t any contact.
  3. I expect Southampton's new manager will be a stop gap as they know they're going down and they'll come back in to get Röhl like they did when they brought in Russell Martin as soon they got relegated last time.
  4. Some decent corners from S. Charles, worth giving him some for us.
  5. He did, same game as Nuhiu’s wonder strike.
  6. I didn't understand why Bernard was basically playing RB after coming on with Palmer at left CB, that made no sense to me particularly as Bernard looked uncomfortable there. The initial lineup was fine, but felt we lost our grip of the game after the subs.
  7. Nine goals in two games for Burnley. Hard to see them falling out of the top two even at this stage.
  8. No, Fisher is a writer for the Guardian, believe he’s from down south. Can’t remember the name of the Barnsley YouTuber, saw one video and that was enough.
  9. Starmer did a short interview during the election campaign on the Guardian Football Weekly podcast, he seemed supportive of there being a regulator so I expect a bill will pass through eventually, but probably not an immediate priority - https://www.theguardian.com/politics/article/2024/jun/18/keir-starmer-review-late-kick-offs-football-matches
  10. Stoke aren’t short of money, expect they might outbid us if they’re keen on Ugbo.
  11. Makes sense to me. Gassama has looked leggy the last few games and deserves a rest. Musaba and Ugbo a threat on the break. Palmer in as well is smart as we looked stable with him and Pol on the right at Leicester. I know everyone likes Cadz and he’s shown he’s a smart finisher, but he doesn’t get on the ball enough for me, doesn’t have a great touch and is limited in possession at this stage in his career. He‘ll improve, but you could see how we improved in possession from the top of pitch after he went off at Leicester even if they took their foot off the gas.
  12. Looking vulnerable down our right hand side, Palmer, Pato and Byers giving them too much space. Thought we responded well after conceding though.
  13. Rob's done a good job trying to hold this idiot to account when he’s asked the manager tough but fair questions given terrible performances and ridiculous selection choices.
  14. Why Johnson isn’t first choice on the left will remain a mystery to me.
  15. Coventry also had Viktor Gyökeres and Gustavo Hamer, two of the best forward players in the division. Don’t think any of our attacking players are anywhere near as good as those two. Think their fixture list was a mess too after the rugby 7s at the Commonwealth games tore up their pitch.
