  1. We will still need to acquire about 15 new players however much it costs.
  2. And I last watched (half of) a Premiership match in 2011, whilst hungover in the sports book area of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. I remember because it was the same day Jordan Rhodes put four goals past us for Huddersfield, which would have been a much more entertaining match for them to have on.
  3. Bromley is the most important club in the world to Bromley fans. Who are you to tell them that you would rather job for Man City?
  4. It's because we aren't corpo brand shills.
  5. I must have missed all the signings since he left.
  6. Starting to think we might get relegated tbh
  7. JP McGovern, Chris Brunt and Steve MacLean. Awesome playoff final at Cardiff and missing my train home and having to call in sick and brazen it out. Mind the Gap and Huddersfield's as far as I know still ongoing unbeaten run. Kieran Lee being a class above. Darren Moore's 23 game unbeaten run and turning it around (twice!) at the last possible second. Interesting stadiums with character and soul where everything is slightly cheaper. Being ever so slightly removed from all the sportswashing and money laundering and obnoxious TV fans and tourists and other cancers of modern football. Cup runs with zero expectations about not getting turned over by Hartlepool. What's not to like?
  8. Some of my best Wednesday memories are in League 1.
  9. Existing is literally the point. That wasn't (and still isn't, tbh) a given. Assuming a takeover happens smoothly, it's going to take a herculean effort and a lot of investment even to return the club to the state it was in on the day Chansiri took over, ticking over as a middling Championship club. That's the only thing we need to worry about at present.
  10. Tbh I also feel like I'm reliving 10 years ago, when we were building nicely and steadily and improving year on year, but half the fans were getting overexcited that there was suddenly a bit of cash to spend and letting the new owner get away with murder, making excuses as he immediately binned off all his advisers, sacked the manager and let a literal child pick his replacement, and brought in the most batshit mental pricing structure imaginable.
  11. Plenty of 'future generations' are turning out for non-league sides all over the country so... yes? I'm sure any prospective owner, especially if it turns out to be some rich Yank or Middle Eastern war criminal, will be all about the HyperFranchiseMoneylaunderingBall, but Sheffield still having the football club that is part of the soul of the city is far more important.
  12. There isn't a new billionaire owner though. Just securing the club's existence for future generations to enjoy would be a massive win. Couldn't care less about the Premiership.
  13. They are trying to do a speedrun to shitty modern franchiseball without any of the redeeming features of heritage and roots in a local community.
  14. I mean, I'm all for actually having hot water in the stand and not weeing up a wall and stuff, but breastfeeding areas? How about don't bring a ******** tiny baby to a noisy football stadium, causing distress to it and all of the people around you to boot?
  15. Disagree. Womens football has already been completely taken over by men's professional football 'brands', pushing a lot of storied traditional clubs out. The women's game has been pre-strangled by artificial American Premier TV Moneyball before it ever had the chance to be anything interesting.
