They know our plight and how much of a hole we’re in? I’m sorry but they can’t expect 30000 people to turn up every week, to watch your team lose all the time. We have to be realistic!
Point 3 is the main one, to make us sustainable we need to develop young players to sell on for profit then go again. I’ve got 5 years in my head to make us sustainable and competitive? The biggest spend dhould be facilities at this stage!
A new Wednesday under new ownership will be a very tempting proposition for any frees, loans and free agents next season? We’ve proved before, even in League 1 we can attract good players.
I think it’s important to have reminders like that? It will be part of our history and could even lead to us having an amazing future? Think about looking back on it in 15-20 years time!
Short term, yeah I agree but new owners really need to change how the club recruits from next season! I’m sick of us being a last chance payday for players over 30! When they got paid of course!!
I think in recent history, our record with free transfers is far better than the fees paid record? We’ve staffed loads on players that contributed little to nothing! Van Aken, Abdi and Rhodes spring to mind!
