SWFC V Preston North End, the Smith/Valentin Derby
HIGHERSTATE replied to ReginaldD's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
'can North End hang on for a famous win?' Wish the media would stop with this poo . We were nearly destroyed as a football club last month. We're barley functioning at the moment. -
The cakeball should have been the omen. A cake and a fkin ball. That was just the tip of iceberg.

We may be on our arse but at least we're not Blades

Sheffield United and having a bit of self-respect don't really go together do they. -
Out future won't depend on the result today. We're hardly a functioning club at the moment. Fingers crossed as a club we'll be in a better position by next summer.

Absolute football theatre that. Eye watering stuff.

All he has left is the small cult of Wilder that hangs onto every word he says. So he has to play to them. Be something about bending the laws to sign free agents. Imagine how it sticks in their throats when something good happens to us.

The Paolo Di Canio referee push vs Arsenal
HIGHERSTATE replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
This...he left all his clubs under a cloud after he had disagreements with anyone in power. The whole aftermath was too convenient and I feel he wanted to leave for a bigger club or a club in London. He was living in Sheffield. being managed by Danny Wilson and playing with a team made up of donkeys. I don't believe for one second he has any sentimentality for us. We all knew he's like a box of frogs and forcing him to stay wouldn't have gone down well with him. -
I'm interested. They haven't seen my bank balance yet.

It wasn't always more about what he did it was a lot to do with what he didn't do. For example putting in place a functioning staff structure. having a sensible recruitment plan or contacts and knowing when to sell players. The fans didn't know the true finances (just the odd comments) so for the majority it was easy to ignore. Even a large number of them blamed the EFL for the points deduction and not DC. In his random approach he even got some things right. Such as employing Darren Moore and Danny Röhl and helping put together a squad to gain promotion from League 1. But as soon as things were going well he couldn't help ruin things with his stupidity.

HIGHERSTATE replied to sexpistol's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
It's a massive relief not to hear from him again. -
Sorry he does say that i've just watched it again. But he does make a huge point with regards to passing the fit and proper test and having secure finances.

The administrator said it was not necessarily the biggest bid. They are more concerned with the one that 'fits better'..
-
Proud of that second half. Dont feel dejected at all.

Sustainability and stability. Along with a lick of paint. -
You could just put the energy into knocking the stand down. Which everyone wants.
