send a copy to talksport and sky sports too -
You do wonder if he actually is enjoying the publicity in some way, given the sort of person that he is.

. I'm still awaiting my ticket / plastic card which cost an extra £10. No word from the club is a disgrace, surly someone at the ticket office could make an anouncement of what they are planning to do without refrence to Chancer and if as we suspect Chancer has made himself unavailable then they should state that that is the case and create more pressure.

ive got a shed as safe as this -
There is another option. DC runs out of money, the tax bill is not paid, the club is put into administration by the HMRC, with a large points deduction from the EFL and relegation. The administrator would then sell the club for what he can get. I think that there would be a few takers as the price would be reasonable. However the ground would not be part of the deal, we would then have the new owner trying to negotiate a deal to use / buy the ground from DC, good luck with that. Sadly I think that this is the most likely outcome.

how we are only one goal down is beyond belief -
On Saturday I faced a 70 mile round trip in what was heavy snow in North Yorkshire, setting off at about 9 A.M . trying to find a parking place, sitting in the cold for two hours - or staying home, full English breakfast, comfy armchair, warm house and no risk, as a pensioner its a no brainer. I have also missed this some of the evening matches this season. If the current situation prevails with Sky dictating KO times then I will be seriously considering not renewing next season.

Seems as if we don't score in the first 20 mins confidence drains, we give silly fouls away and concede and the game just drifts away from us. -

our passing is really poor, quality of the players we have not good enough even for this league. -
agreed but add Arsenal, for their entitled fan base

For those players offered a new contract, is there a specific timescale for them to accept it. Or are they allowed to hang on and see if any other club will offer them more money. If that is the case then we could be in for a long summer as those players play one club off against another. I think the club should give them a specific date to accept the deal offered and if they don't accept it take the deal off the table and look elsewhere at replacements. Not sure if that is how this process works?

Standing on the Kop I noticed a smell of burning, Looked down at the guy next to me and his trousers bottoms were on fire!. Evidently someone had dropped a cig butt and it had landed in the turn up of his trouser leg. The guys trouser bottom was covered in grease / oil (think he must have worked in a garage) and the oil acted as a sort of wick - he managed to put out the fire before getting burnt. Was quite funny at the time - nearly great balls of fire as someone quipped. .

Marvin Johnson's attitude on pitch
s.kirkbyowl replied to spiderman's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
The guy cannot play as a left back in a back four, he is not a good enough defender. He is ok when played as a left wing back in a back five when a left sided central defender covers for him. The manager should have realised that by now perhaps after yesterday he will have. -
Its a Sheffield double, praise ang grumble should be interesting tonight.

I'm LS17 (leeds), supporting since early 60's still a season ticket holder

I think great credit should be given to the manager and his coaches as we are much better at playing out from the back now than at any time previously. The players now seem to understand that movement and first touch passing is the way to play out from the back.

RAISE THE ROOF FOR DM's RETURN
s.kirkbyowl replied to ScooterOwl67's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I respect the fact that DM did eventually get us over the line however if it is true that he asked for an exorbitant pay rise and was told no, he vastly overplayed his hand and his departure at such short notice has contributed to our current predicament. The fact that he and DC could not find a way to work out their differences because of false pride and stupidity means that we now look like relegation fodder and has set the club backwards. DM is as much to blame as DC for our current situation, I wont be giving him any happy claps. -
Footballing man / businessman?
s.kirkbyowl replied to basegreenowl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Wonder where we would be now if he had made Howard Wilkinson Director of football when DC first bought the club - it should have been his first appointment. -
What if the team have some momentum at the set time of the protest, all you will do is disrupt the flow of the match which would help our opponents.

Doncaster Rovers vs SWFC tonight
s.kirkbyowl replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
We seem to pass backwards more than forwards, if this is anything to go by we are in big big trouble . MANAGER NEEDS TO REALISE THAT YOU HAVE TO ADAPT A STYLE OF PLAY TO THE PLAYERS YOU HAVE AT YOUR DISPOSAL. Not the other way round - if he does not he will be gone by christmas and we will be a strong bet for relegation.
