The effort was there as it has been in every match this season. These players must be exhausted physically and mentally. Look at the difference in squads, look who they brought on as subs. It's not about effort, unfortunately for us because of the last 10 years they just simply have better footballers than we do. The players we've got, the ones that have stuck around deserve our support and they're getting it from most of us.

Can tell who has and who hasn’t played at a decent level. running at speed connecting with a ball delivered at pace with a gk and defender challenging vs passing along the ground into an empty net are not the same. he should have scored as a pro, he knows this, we know this. Criticising doesn’t help.

Just to have a go as we are doing. We just drew away at West Brom, almost beat Birmingham, already have a win on the board. This league isn’t great this season. I get why people are saying we’re down but don’t write the lads off yet. Get a few frees in and someone that can finish and there’s a chance. 99 points left to play for. I know it’s unlikely but it’s not impossible.
