  1. I would never support a club formed on that basis. Depending how many others feel the same, it may be quite the opposite of the golden ticket to success that proponents of any sort if merger believe it to be.
  2. R.I.P. Milan. I will never forget what you did.
  3. Problem is whilever there's a chance of this club, that runs through my family line like blood itself, making it through I can't commit to anything else. And it's not fair to the people committed to a phoenix club, that I show my support for the idea at this point. If SWFC can be wrestled out of his ill-conceived control, I'll be straight back fully committed to them. One way or another the Wednesday name must continue, but I'm not interested in a phoenix club, until this one is officially beyond rescue.
  4. I wouldn't buy one until Land Of Fire was all over the stadium and shirts...
  5. I know he's not one of those, he lacks the warmth, the depth and the likeability.
  6. It's a classic but I always thought this one sounded ruder.
  7. I've been wondering what the lettering on both kits reminds me of, and I've just got it! The old 90s - 00s anti-piracy ad.
  8. I assumed it was Rumbelows Employee Of The Year.
  9. Genuinely, people who believe that to be the case are irrelevant now. Save your rage for Chansiri. People like this are the kind of people who aren't allowed scissors for their own safety. No point arguing with them.
  10. Heard it's rebranded: Elephants In The Don.
  11. If anyone's tweeting them, include the hashtag #thetunarotsfromtheheaddown
  12. Get those damned seats that spell his name out of our ground would genuinely be my number one item. It's trivial and petty, I know, but symbolic.
  13. I'm not trying to be a smart arse here, because until a fortnight ago I'd have agreed with you. I was amazed to learn from someone who'd seen the lyrics written in the song writer's own handwriting (and these are also the lyrics given on the lyrics websites for Hooky Street). The line isn't 'rich or poor' and the rhyme isn't 'score' or 'store'! It is: "Black or white, rich or broke, We'll cut prices at a stroke." None of us in the audience could believe we'd got it wrong our entire lives!
  14. We'd be hard pushed to end up with anyone both as clueless and unwilling to take advice than the current incumbent. So I'm pretty much prepared to get behind anyone that wants a go, and can gives a hope of a club to support.
  15. When I have freelanced in the media, I have had no control over the headlines that went over my pieces. I can't say with certainty that's how it is at The Star, but everywhere I've written for I've submitted my copy with a measured suggested headline, only to have it made substantially more baity by the sub-editor.
  16. Well he can't really use the old line about "only selling to someone who will take the club forward". Taking us forward, at this point, literally means fulfilling the most basic obligations of running ANY business.
  17. People think it's as simple as merge and double the fan base. I'd be finished with football at this level if this happened. There's only one club for me.
  18. I don't think he named anyone in the press release iirc. If he gets sued it'll be another former sponsor, who goes to a different school. We wouldn't have heard of him.
  19. Anyone asked Leighton to send him a LinkedIn DM?
  20. I'm not in Wednesdayite. I strongly support the protests. That said, if anyone is that bothered about the poll result, join Wednesdayite and demand another vote on the matter. Seems like a waste of effort to me based on the numbers involved in the current poll - but if it does somehow matter and I'm missing it, you could easily overturn those numbers.
  21. You like your undies shredded, regurgitated and slept in by a hamster? It's niche but you do you, buddy!!
