Video- THIS LAD ON TRAIL FOR UNDER 21
Meowl replied to punkyhorrors's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Interestingly Josh Bayliss is the son of Alistair Bayliss, the CEO of Bayliss Executive Travel, who provide the coach travel for dem Blavdes. The company, based in Sandwich, Kent, are also 'official travel partners' of Gillingham and Charlton. -
This is someone who understood the club from the outset and was able to articulate it in way that was refreshingly candid and therefore heartwarming. Never took himself too seriously, had a deep knowledge of the game and genuinely loved being here. All the best Chris in whatever you do next.

Kobacki is 24 on Thursday, really needs to step up this season.

Guess our pitch doesn’t have the worst drainage in the EFL?

Tonight's championship games
Meowl replied to Johnny Fantham's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Is he a wing back? -
Very impressive interview, as was Pedersen's. He seems to have a genuine respect for the club, fans and Röhl - also a sense of humour, which should help. Keep having to pinch myself that this is actually happening!

First interview with SWFC manager Danny Röhl!

Seems to have an easy charm about him coupled with a steely determination. -

Now that would be something! On the pitch, Luhukay mark one had us in the play off places after the opening 10 games of the 2018-19 season. Admittedly it went to pieces after that.

Andy Crofts/OxonOwl Sad Announcement
Meowl replied to OxonOwl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I am so sorry to hear this news. I didn't know Andy but read his posts on here and so feel part of the community that he felt passionately about. I hope that you, the Crofts family, can draw some sort of comfort and support from the messages on the forum - from all those who knew him and those who didn't. We are all thinking of you at this very difficult time. -
Little things I don't like about football today
Meowl replied to Striggy's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
The predictable arrogance of certain players who believe they deserve to be bracketed in an 'oh so special super star' status and be able to make what they feel is a personalised gesture with their hands (usually in the shape of a heart) after scoring a goal. The need for ALL managers and hangers on in the game to have their initials on their training jackets, but I applaud the deputy assistant to the lead joint manager of the under-6s, who might do it out of a sense of self mockery. -
Brought down to earth with defeats at Plymouth and Southend after that cup run and then drew against Tranmere, Carlisle and Shrewsbury. But I always thought those Arsenal games were something of a turning point in the club's fortunes - with of course promotion from Div 3 the following season.

First of the four replays was at Highbury. Dennis Leman had a good game if I remember. I'm sure Arsenal scored a late goal which denied a famous win.

Man of the Match - Millwall (A)
Meowl replied to Lord Snooty's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Thought Harris was clear MOM but Murphy to me wasn't as ineffective on the right as some have suggested. Quality of the crossing needs improving though. -
The loss that could get Bullen the job??
Meowl replied to S26 Owl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Would agree with this entirely. Although the second half was played almost completely in their half, there was so little space behind the full backs. Need the game to be stretched as it usually is when teams are attacking each other in the closing stages, to make full use of the pace of the wingers. When it's so condensed in one half, trickery alone is limited if you've got opposition doubling up you on the flanks and the box well covered when you do get a cross in. Any judgement on Bullen shouldn't be swayed by what happened today. -

Just think what he had to put up with when he was here. Can't help but admire the dignity of the man.
