  1. I'm picturing this!
  2. And please post copies of said strongly worded letters on here so we can at least proof read them for you! "Well let me tell you this Your Majesty........"
  3. Lie down, have a beer and relax!
  4. That was the disaster, as is this seasons relegation, both purely down to him.
  5. Getting quite nostalgic, feels like 74/75 season! Pity the music these days is utter sheite!
  6. Or even the 2nd like our last 3 visits there.
  7. Definitely could have done with Jack Hunt today
  8. "Conquest Of Paradise" Don't know if it still is but back when we were last in the EPL it was Sunderland's walk out music iirc.
  9. Plenty of others besides for us oldies too. Paul Carrack for starters. Could even revive Thompson Twins "you Take Me Up" Here's a list from Wiki so fill your boots https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_musicians_from_Sheffield
  10. ...and Accrington Stanley!
  11. Well it certainly isn't the virtue of a considerable number of our fans! Let's all just relax and try to enjoy the ride wherever it takes us.
  12. In many respects FGR is an apt analogy because the actions of our previous owner have effectively reduced us to their level. JTW (and the subsequent summer window) will be interesting for several reasons in order of importance: How much leeway will the new owners be given by the EFL How much will the new owner(s) be prepared to spend Who will want to come and join the party How much of a role will young/developing players be expected/allowed to play Interesting (hopefully exciting) times ahead.
  13. How exactly are we supposed to achieve that when we have: Lowest wage bill in the division Smallest squad in the division that is hamstrung with embargoes etc. A squad full of has-beens, never were's and youngsters who are trying to find their feet in a league that is still at least two levels too high for them? Not their fault at all but that is our current reality A nailed on relegation engineered by the previous owner It's not so much a winning mentality that's needed (though hopefully that will start to return somewhat with new owners) as a healthy dose of realism amongst the fanbase which has ridiculous expectations and an overblown sense of entitlement.
  14. Elephant Man? Thought the current term was fish *t1ts*?
  15. In the great scheme of things this one really didn’t
  16. In terms of results on the pitch this is the most irrelevant season in our history. In terms of what is happening off the pitch it will be the most important season in our history. After so many years of woeful ownership we actually have something to look forward to. Better days are coming soon.
  17. Any truth in the story their owners made an inquiry about us with a view to merging the two clubs only to be told get lost? I ask because apparently it was in the Daily Mail. Can see how that would upset people from both clubs if the case.
  18. A proper realistic plan not just for the rest of this season but for the next decade or two. That's all I ask for.
  19. What’s Rick Wakeman doing in an OT thread?
  20. Probably depends on circumstances. If we’re looking to bring youth on and are severely restricted on other signings for another season then who better?
  21. Unless he gets a chance with proper resources we’ll never know though.
  22. This and one of the idiots has started already. Cambridge graduate and lawyer too. Goodness me there are some really intelligent people who are thick as Pig poo in this world!
  23. RANT KLAXON!! Actually probably a worthy entry for rant of the year!
  24. We just have to keep our focus on the fact that our big win (new owners) is imminent and for this season that's all that matters. Yes losing today hurts, but it's not important in the overall scheme of things. Keep the faith, keep supporting the team and the manager, it's not their fault only one person to blame for this. Things will get better, we will recover and good times may not be as far away as we think.
