  1. Key points Biggs recalls a dinner in late 2017 when Chansiri angrily confronted him after an article that suggested the club should allow football staff more control. Chansiri’s reaction — calling Biggs a dictator — marked a turning point in their relationship. Biggs says the owner’s behaviour displayed arrogance, stubbornness and a lack of understanding of how a football club should be run — especially in terms of engaging with staff, supporters and the media. He describes how Chansiri once considered banning Biggs (and possibly others) from club access, signalling a fraught relationship with the local press and supporters. Biggs argues that Chansiri’s approach contributed to destabilising the club’s culture: he highlighted instances like a dressing-down of the squad which almost jeopardised promotion in 2023. The article calls for any future owner of Sheffield Wednesday to recognise that money alone isn’t enough — they must treat fans as customers, empower employees, improve infrastructure and build trust. Tone & implications Biggs writes with strong criticism of Chansiri’s tenure, describing his style as “unique” in a negative sense — not in innovation but in dysfunction. He emphasises that while Chansiri had financial resources, his methods and mindset were unsuitable for sustaining a club culture. The piece also serves as a warning: as the club looks for new ownership, the behaviour and values of that owner will matter just as much as investment.
  2. Many of the players are kids who wouldn’t get in a league 2 team. Simone as that, tactics aren’t going to change or fate now. going into admin yesterday might at least mean we now only fall as far as league 1
  3. indeed, in the end he did the only thing left available to him. I’m sure he was advised that knowingly trading while insolvent was an offence, so he threw the towel in.
  4. It won’t make a jot of difference to our season. We’re going down quickly and quietly.
  5. Need it now, not next season. Next season will be tough enough anyway, a 15 point deduction will see us in league 2 by Christmas
  6. We’re heading to league 2
  7. To be expected. We were relegated before the season began, sadly
  8. You little tease! Does this mean Ben Marshall is signing???? U ITK?
  9. And doesn’t come out of it looking great….
  10. I think we’re already doing it. This is as good as it gets for the next few years.
  11. Not blaming the players at all. If DC doesn’t pìss off soon, we’ll be in league 2 in two years time.
  12. Take their keep off at half time?
  13. ‘The worst customers in world football’
  14. ‘Im off to Nando’s to spend the Nando’s gold covered chocolate coins I got for Christmas’
  15. We have a league 1 team at best. Down without much of a whimper.
  16. I grew up in Wrexham. It’s a shít hole
  17. Kevin Pressman runs the Hillsborough franchise of Weight Watchers
  18. I’m sure many teams fans sympathise, but they will rightly follow this team away from home. We will win very few games this season, so for lots of away fans they will come to Hillsborough expecting to get an easy win in a big famous stadium. Most away fans will jump at that opportunity
  19. Dejphon Chansiri has bought Morecambe FC
