I disagree. look at the ticket sales for Preston this weekend. If we had put up more of a fight against the pigs and maybe even snatched some kind of result, we would have shifted loads more tickets. We’re still under the watchful eye of perspective buyers, I’m sure they’ll be interested to see how fans react in terms of turning up and supporting the club after a loss.

He loves to tell the story on Talksport how his loan at Wednesday was the toughest time in his career. He reckons Glenn Whelan bullied him -

Nice to see him show a bit of class for once. -
It’s the biggest derby goal deficit in years. They’ll be dining out on this for a while. Embarrassing.

Don’t blame the players or HP; blame Chansiri

At 0-2 down we were sauntering about like we were 2-0 up. A little bit of the fight that we showed against Middlesbrough, Norwich and West Brom wouldn’t have gone a miss. expected to lose today, but not roll over and have our bellies tickled. Hands down the performance I’ve seen in a Sheffield derby by either club. -
embarrassing if we can’t even sell directors box out…

Should be good to park in Owlerton Stadium at that time pal. It’s generally heaving with police around the ground, before and after the game. And I’m sure they’ll be held back after for a bit. -

Move the few fans who have bought in the LL into the home ends and give the whole stand to the pigs. -

agree with this. I was in a similar frame of mind myself, but having been to a couple of games since he who shall not be named has left, I’ve got the bug coming back! One thing is for sure - some success on the pitch will turn more heads. Always the case with football fans. -

In the home ends, I agree. I don’t begrudge anyone not wanting to go in the lower Leppings Lane, though. My brother and niece were showered with coins and bottles in the LL the last time we played them - I’ve managed to get them tickets in the north stand this time, but if I hadn’t and the only option was the LL, they wouldn’t be going. Its a real shame the capacity isn’t big enough to shove the pigs down there instead. -
Big fish in a small pond expectations. Some fans will always want to see us turn teams over week in week out whilst playing like a 2008 Barcelona.

Agree to an extent. But I’d much rather be winning games in the Championship than League 1. Playing the likes of Hartlepool on a Monday night in the Johnston’s Paint Trophy in front of 15 away fans is not for the faint hearted.

I don’t see them going down either. I read somewhere the other day Wilder is cancelling 3 season long loans in January, no doubt he’ll be replacing them with his own players. As horrible as Wilder is, he seems to always get a tune out of United eventually. And he’s the perfect manager for them going into a derby.

Wednesday Tap on Away days
eckington owl replied to Normanski's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
And this is why we need a new stadium built closer to the city. Next to no revenue generated outside of match days. Hotel/restaurant/pub/offices similar to what the pigs have or even Rotherham’s ground. That place is rammed every time I drive past in the week.
