Think these were made by a Coventry company a few years back. They also did the MHS shirt, the grey and purple away kit and others. Quality was excellent. I got a couple. But I think lawyers got involved, as the whole range was pulled.

If we were talking any other opponent, we wouldn't have to worry about people buying tickets. Sadly this is one game that will buck the trend.

Say 12,000 individual tickets sold at an average of £40. That’s 480,000 right there. Add in food, beer, programs, etc.

I have a ticket for a group state game in Houston. Felt dirty paying FIFA for it. Not quite paying any money to DC level dirty. But dirty.

I lived in Merton for about 6 months. Not much of interest. But there was some really good Sri Lankan food.

The former site itself is pretty much the width of the current Hillsborough footprint. But for access purposes alone, I suspect the club would also acquire the current industrial units on Grange Mill Lane & Blackburn Rd, which would make it plenty wide enough.

To be fair. That’s Kansas City. The MetLife stadium, (home of the Giants & Jets) is surrounded by parking lots, but is also next to horse racing track and a shopping mall and is sandwiched between separate areas of parkland running along two rivers. So not quite so dystopian. The parking lots around MetLife also serve the shopping mall and act as a park and ride for Manhattan based commuters. So the land is being used more than 16 or so Sundays a year.

There’s an area called Hove (once the town of Hove), in the city of Brighton & Hove. Just like there’s an area called Chelsea in the London Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.

There’s only one city. Brighton AND Hove. The AMEX is just within the NE boundary. And it’s completely on the other side of the city to Hove.

The Millwall neighborhood is on the Isle of Dogs. That’s north of the river in the borough of Tower Hamlets. Yet Millwall play south of the river in south Bermondsey. Part of the borough of Lewisham.
