Maybe - If they identify the culprits, they should sue them for the money for the fine. Or is that a step too far. -

I believe its about giving the creditors 25% back on their claims so that a 15 pt deduction doesn't happen next season- 122 replies

NORWICH GAME - Let's get Norwich sold out now!

there must be a balance though - what does it cost to open the extra areas against what revenue it might generate. -

With a decent ticketing system pay on the gate could be as simple as contactless - set it to allocated seats on the receipt - no choice on the day - and charge an extra fee for being too lazy to pre pay. But have terminals in some gates for this. Obs would need to be set up but surely its possible - maybe even self service ticket machines outside the ground (I'd make them contactless only to save the problems of cash. Future work but in this day and age should be doable. -
Another revenue raiser idea…
owlfandbg replied to hopevalleyowl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
all sorts could be tried Matchday lottery ticket (say £1) with £1000 prize (and % donation to Children's hospital) where tickets sold in the food kiosks before match and half time. Prize announced via scoreboard at end of game. Catering to have your pie(or more if possible) brought to you at half time in your seat. Advertise facilities at ground for kids birthdays at reasonable prices Auction to have your name/shirt added to squad (one person only per month) Range of elephant burgers ( prob just beef but you get the joke ) Sponsored tickets to local schools (gets people in to buy the merch) Order and collect in shop after game on concourse for goods in megastore (and sell stuff on concourse too) -
It's like this is the real 1st game of the season

So it appears the boycotted match and the revenue drop was the last straw for the company that had the loan on the ground. They saw that they were unlikely to get their money if chansiri stayed as fans would not renew for next year and pulled the plug . Wll done that trust! thats how it reads to me anyway -
BREAKING: just days from a winding-up order over tax bill

no it wouldn't - It would be a creditor asking for admin . state aid? what a bizarre idea. -
BREAKING: just days from a winding-up order over tax bill
owlfandbg replied to MattP's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I get this but, given the assets are unlikely to amount to a hill of beans (because the stadium is separate) then winding up simply loses HMRC all the money they are owed. It would therefore seem logical (given it is known there are interested parties) for HMRC to act as creditors and force admin - where they might actually get some of the money owed rather than none. Obviously I have no idea what's going to happen but there is a certain logic to HMRC going to admin. -

You may be correct - but surely even HMRC would rather force administration and a sale - hoping to get their money if possible if a new owner turns up.. Dark days indeed, -
sitting on my dads shoulders in the triangle/crows nest (whatever you want to call it - I really don't mind) being passed down by the fans to stand behind the little wall every match in that area the fans imploring Jack Charlton to come save us Brighton beating us at Highbury (It was a penalty we should have had!) Telling someone we will get promoted when we signed Imre Varadi Being awed by seeing the owls playing Man Utd. Liverpool etc A new years day victory at old Trafford , singing 'Atkinson Out' and 'Happy new Year' to them with my dad My first match after my dad passed and 2 years later seeing Wednesday win a cup - something he never did. The absolute Joy of Chris Waddle and in the FA cup semi thinking he going to hit this - wow the emotions as our two Italian superstars played The passion of Gary Megson and the mind the gap season end after that The despair of the Hull city game The joy of the Peterborough game and the Wembley goal (where my brother actually hurt himself when we scored) The disbelief when Darrren Moore was sacked The calm happiness when Danny Röhl achieved survival I want more memories - I want this part of my life to be there . I want Chansiri GONE.

It seems to be a grey area (though I think anyone wanting to leave should be able to in these circumstances), something about they give notice then must be paid fully within 15 days - If they are then they don't get to go. I may be wrong but I thought that was what was suggested before. With the current embargoes though anyone leaving by next summer cannot be replaced. There will also be the juniors who cannot be offered contracts etc. Chansiri really is acting like an immature child - "I'm taking my ball away if I can't be striker so none of you can play!" It's appalling for the staff and players and no employer should be able get away with this. It should actually be a criminal matter if he does this but at the very least perhaps the Union could start civil action on behalf of those who are out of pocket because of late and missing payments. Sue hime for every penny you can get as I'm sure you deserve it .

A simple question How many players are on last year contracts? Am I right in thinking come December (or is it January) they have the right to sign pre-contracts to leave in the summer? Will we have even a basic squad as it stands by the summer if we survive that long?
