End of parachute payments -
You've got to remember we only have about 17,000 season ticket holders now, so we're expecting over 10,000 people to buy tickets each game to fill the ground. Not going to happen consistently. We'll sell a lot more season tickets next season in league one.

Calamity Iorfa nearly strikes again. Horrendous footballer. Fairly pleased otherwise. -
Mike Ashley in coming, along with....
Castleford Owl replied to RevOwl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Given we already have an indication that offers so far are enough to clear the 25p in the pound threshold, I don't think that offer will cut it anyway. -
Two seasons to get out of L1

Don't be daft -
There were just under 11,000 tickets available for the Oxford game, the day before, then the surge started. Going on that, we might have sold about 1000 of the bundles plus a few hundred individual tickets.

First Thing Out Of The Door Under The New Owners
Castleford Owl replied to keefdave's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
He wasn't up to it after the last promotion. As much as I respect his commitment and service to the club, the fact that he's amongst our highest ever appearance makers is testament to the mismanagement of the club over three decades.- 83 replies

Surely with this rebuild it's time to say goodbye to Palmer and Iorfa. We have to look beyond getting back out of league one. Neither are good enough at this level. One more year for Bannan.

Don’t blame the players or HP; blame Chansiri
Castleford Owl replied to shandypants's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I don't get this. We are very poor, we know that. It is because of Chansiri, we also know that. But desire and application is the minimal expectation from professional footballers. There is no excuse for them showing more of those two things than us today. -
No room for sentiment from next season. We have to move on from the likes of Iorfa for good. Doesn't mean to say we can't be grateful for their services.

Capacity is restricted, so there's a few hundred taken off sale. Tend to be restricted view because they're always the last to sell. -

33,500 I think. 33,800 last season with half of the end block of the North open, which looks to be closed again. So we're at 32,400. -

Less. You could have 6000 in the away end back then, so would have been less than 25k in home end. Seem to remember we had a rule back then though, where you had to have a ticket stub from one of the previous three home games to get a ticket (or something like that).
