I love his effort, I'm not so keen on his output. I think he makes good decisions when in good positions but his execution of passes, shots, crosses is poor.

Valery is the only player we have that you could drop into a premier league team and them not look poor.

I've read the service argument before but I don't buy into it. When he was on loan and doing well, he had played inside forward a handful of games as we had lnjuries and he still looked one of our best players contributing to defending, pressing, nicking the ball and linking play. It's a strange one, psychological issue? Sasha Lense couldn't solve it, I doubt many on her could.
