Should not be losing games like that
TrickyTrev replied to fedupowl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Agreed. There’s no doubt Pederson has been dealt a bad hand but I don’t think he’s playing it particularly well. -
Agreed. The only advantage we have over the other sides at the foot of the Championship and the top of League 1 this season is we actually already know what league we’ll be in next season already so can start preparing where as they don’t yet.
-
No doubt there will be a losing culture at the club when the season ends, but I’d hope when we get new owners, over the summer they’ll be replacing the manager, coaching staff and the vast majority of the players we have at the club. I’m hoping the majority of what will be starting the season at the club in August won’t have been here over the current season.

We really need you all now

Kop looked empty today. -
We reckon anybody of any interest will be in there today?

We may be on our arse but at least we're not Blades

Leicester will sack their manager after this, I was hoping he’d be gone after their last match just in time for the scrubbers unfortunately not. -
That fee restriction needs bringing forward a window so we can pay fees next summer for players.
-
Given the bidding war for the club seems to be hotting up, it wouldn’t surprise me of there were some interesting guests in the directors box. It’ll be disappointing if we are back down to below 25k,

With the way Chansiri was, he was always going to make things as bad as possible for us when he left. I argued for a few years that we needed to force the idiot out, loads of clubs (Coventry included) had some really rough years before finally recovering and then moving past us while we pottered around going nowhere fast. We are now entering that process and it’s going to be a rough couple of years but we will come out the other side and this is preferable to another 10 years with that idiot in charge.
-
Well if anything this is handy for our new owners as it shows that discounted match bundles don’t work and they needn’t bother doing them anymore.
-
Is it any wonder their owners would rather own us than them? The glass ceiling at Hillsborough is far far higher than it ever will be over in S2 and a win on Sunday against last years reserves/youth team isn’t going to change that.
-
I think he’d be decent in League 1 but he’s not good enough for the Championship. As we are going to be needing to sign around 15 players in the summer, I wouldn’t mind keeping him provided it’s only an extra year.
-
I was hoping a few more of these 4 game bundles might have been sold but going on the numbers quoted earlier in this thread we obviously haven’t sold many. Shame.
-
This. After a season and a half away due to the idiot that used to own us, I’m just enjoying getting my match day routine back with my mates, a good result is a bonus but nothing more.
-
This. As a club we haven’t been anywhere near ruthless enough over the years.
-
Best ones yet, although can’t say I recognise anyone.

Mike Ashley in coming, along with....
TrickyTrev replied to RevOwl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
More likely he’d bring in his old mate Steve Bruce. -
This!! Given a full season on loan in League 2, I’m convinced Ugbo could get 9/10 goals.
-
Since Chumpsiri left… 27k, 28k and now 33k. Is it any wonder buyers are queuing up to buy us.
-
This is what the new owner will be buying
TrickyTrev replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
What was happening on the pitch is fixable in a relatively short period of time given a manager and good recruitment. What you saw on the stands today however wreaked of potential, and our new owners saw that today as well as the other home games since Chumpsiri left.- 42 replies

I expected this if I’m being honest, I was worried they’d equal what we did on Boxing Day 1979 so it’s a relief that didn’t happen after the way they dominated the match. Losing to the pigs hurts but the feeling I have now isn’t as bad as when we lost to them at Hillsborough last season, looking at the bigger picture the bigger stuff for us is happening off the pitch right now.
-
I remember a few weeks back I was around 5/10 mins late turning on the WBA match and I didn’t know the starting 11 and I honestly didn’t know he was playing until he got subbed off in the second half, the guy is a waste of space. Today was even worse, he should be utterly ashamed of himself after his “efforts” today.
-
Agreed, there’s no point in sticking with a manager just because he’s a nice guy and “deserves a chance”: If the new owners come in and are in a position to bring in a manager with a proven track record to the club they should absolutely do it.
-
He’s a nice guy who hung around but I think the new owners will be looking for better when they come in.

It’s a reflection of just how awful Ugbo is that Lowe’s p**s poor performances are flying very much under the radar.
