I was made for lovin' you Wednesday
elated owl replied to TheGaffer's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I was made for loving you Wednesday , you were made for hurting me. sorted! -
I’ll be there as a season ticket holder but it’s cost a lot lately. People have spent, people have supported and we are fine until the end of January. it’s Christmas soon and we are relegated already. 22k is an absolute turnout and something no other side in the league would do in our position. the club has already been ‘sold’ as the bids are in.

That depends if the rules are applied in absolute or not. the rules state: ” The entity that takes control of the club from the Administrator will be required to pay creditors a minimum of … 25 pence in the pound as an immediate payment … or 35 pence in the pound over a 3-year period. If this requirement is not complied with, the FL will have the power to deduct a further 15 points … at the start of the season following the Insolvency Event ”

The 15 point deduction is 100% and unequivocally applied next season if we don’t meet either £0.25p in the £1 or £0.35p in the £1 payable over 3 years. Either way one of those options needs to be paid or it’s league one with minus 15 points, that’s it - it’s written in league law.

Much better grit and determination. We know we aren’t very good but there’s some positives to take. Work ethic and SOME players will be good for league one. if we can sort our admin poo out for January try to build a squad for next season and enter it having won a few games. 90,000 all seater stadium built in 6 months. HMS ******** the league floats once again.

All of these will be lifted when we are bought - except the trading for fees one. if I’m honest I think there is a precedent set to maybe argue the removal of one transfer window when owners come in but looks like we’ll trade in the free agent and loan market - a market that can be quite lucrative if you can pay the right wages.

New Statement From Kris Wigfield
elated owl replied to TZOwl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I think the fact we were clearly trading insolvent for a number of weeks/months and we’ve still got a club full stop should be taken as a win because in any other industry we’d have been booted out of business. Chansiri is to blame for everything but the club itself is still subject to the same rules and regulations agreed by all 72 EFL clubs and those rules and associated penalties are now simply being applied. -
Stop being defeatist. This season is over. Bookmark this game, remember how you feel. Remember what’s happened to the club and bottle it up ready for the next time we play them in a couple of years. they’re absolutely shocking. Coventry would have scored 15 against us today. wipe it down, dust it off. Stop bedwetting and get ready. The future is bright, and it’s blue and white

End of the day nobody knows who it’s gonna be. It’s exciting, it’s brilliant and it’s Sheffield Wednesday. lets show them bacon striped ******** what it’s gonna feel like in a few years in the Sheffield Wednesday supermegaloudbowlofpain

Absolutely! - and I also have zero allegiance because of my 2 mile distance!

I’m particularly interested in the Don story. Just for the poo and giggles

It’s got to happen one day that something just incredible happens to us. Birmingham have theirs - albeit I don’t want us to design a coal fired mosque for a new ground.

I thought it was a mosque! Genuinely!

I don’t mind anyone saying that. Put it this way - the other way around I wouldn’t be affording them any praise whatsoever. I wouldn’t acknowledge the size of the club, I wouldn’t say they have great support, I wouldn’t praise former sides and I wouldn’t acknowledge anything positive about them whatsoever. dont like the guy much - just saying I think he’s been relatively respectful

Maybe he’s just realised how stacked Henrik is and doesn’t fancy it without his Eccy Road posse

New statement - Kris Wigfield
elated owl replied to andypandy's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Kris, like a breath of fresh air. I for one massively appreciate the fact you are doing a job but doing it as a Sheffield Wednesday fan which is making the communication piece and community engagement really positive. hopefully you can hand it over to someone who’s going to really kick us on. a really important point though - have you melted the elephants down yet? -
Be uber ironic for he who should not be named if a bidding war ends up with the core value of the club going for a higher price than was first mentioned but then his own debts only being serviced at £0.25p in the £1.
-
For me being in league one is poo . But I’m old enough to remember being gutted we didn’t kick on and win the first division or progress further in Europe or win one of the cup finals in 93. We’re riding the crest of a wave at the moment of good feeling and relief following voldemorts departure. however, there’s a hell of a long way to go and a lot of cold nights to come to then be rewarded with a trip to Fleetwood next season for it. A lot of time to retain optimism etc. we’re gonna go down - it’s absolutely imperative we come straight back up or we may find ourselves stuck for a while. So, for me, like every other season we’ve been in that league, it’s about us getting out of it by any means necessary and I never enjoy it.

100% correct. It has always been highest bid from those that pass the other caveats wins. if the Walton’s (for reference purposes!) were in for us, pass the OADT and fit and proper persons test and offered £50m came along and the only other bid was from Ashley who met the same criteria but offered £51m then the clubs Ashley’s. So it will be interesting as to how stringent the so called fit and proper persons test is these days in case any wronguns appear out of the woodwork
