The Trust are doing what they think is achievable, The Tennis Ball protest last year had less than 100 participants and 20,000 booing it, pitch invasion had 50 people doing it.
If they called for a home boycott every week there’d still be 15,000 in the home end which is why they are trying for one home boycott of a Tuesday night Sky game hoping to get less than 10,000 in the home end.
Demand for away tickets is such that, if they called for an away boycott, even if the regulars complied there’d always be a couple of thousand who’d step in (see Grimsby Town at home), making it pointless.
The point of a successful home boycott is it allows “The Chairman” to forecast a likely slump in season ticket sales before it happens, so he can work out if he can survive with maybe half last seasons revenue from this source.
I do agree the optics of Trust Leadership being at away games is a source of division.
