  1. If we're talking about having a competitive team in L1 then we need to keep the majority of this starting 11 and make about 10 good signings for the top end of L1/bottom end of champ. Let's not run before we can walk. This squad has been depleted but there are some good L1 players in it.
  2. 1. How is a new build keeping the heritage? 2. A rebuilt simply wouldn't be cheaper, a renovation would be far cheaper.
  3. Ibrox isn't scarred by a similar disaster. Don't get me wrong, Hillsborough needs a huge amount of work - I just think that for the money we'd spend on a new stadium, you could renovate Hillsborough and return it to its former glory. Rebuild and rename leppings lane something like the 'Liverbird Stand' would be a fitting tribute to the past whilst making Hillsborough fit for the future.
  4. It's without a doubt, stay. Unfortunately we have no money to do it up but if we ever do it's a case of renovating a historic ground and staying. 100%
  5. This is categorically untrue. It is the highest bidder or the best package for the creditors. Businesses plans or backgrounds have no involvement. The administrators legal duty is to get the best return for creditors which means the best offer will win.
  6. Looking back to when he scored 7 in 9 on loan. They were all tap ins. FIFA goals where you hit the byline and pass it back. We had full backs and wingers really bombing on under Röhl in the survival season. We don't play like that anymore so he just looks lost.
  7. Yep, looks class
  8. Most sporting venues I've been to in the last 10 years has pre pulled pints. Not ideal but it is what it is
  9. He's Samson. Since he cut his dreads off he's been awful. By the time he grows them back he'll be out of contract.
  10. As yes, let's just do what chansiri did all over again. Smart.
  11. My appeal would be like when Tony Blair stood outside downing Street and said Education Education Education. For us it's infrastructure infrastructure infrastructure.
  12. Can't be more than the £7 I paid from sheff to Hampshire yesterday morning.
  13. Yeah I get that. Its the credible aspect that worries me. Passing the fit and proper test can't be too difficult as there have been plenty of bad owners to previously pass it. Ideally we want the most credible person rather than someone that can just pass is. But appreciate we don't have a day in that matter.
  14. That's not how I took the interview. They said their ultimate goal is to get the best deal for creditors - so basically highest bid wins.
  15. Pedersen deserves a go with a clean slate, a squad worthy of this club and the backing of an optimistic fan base. We cannot judge him on this season.
  16. I'm hoping for the Shaw consortium. They've been in for us for years, have an ambitious ten year plan and have an owl who gets it as a figurehead. For me they're the only option. Unfortunately they may not have the deepest pockets to win the auction...
  17. Anyone know if fans can turn up and help out? No way they get it done in time for tomorrow otherwise
  18. Their fans get what they want, a manager from the Chinese super league. I thought Röhl would have done a good job - sure he will at the next club that give him a chance.
  19. I don't doubt the 'size' of rangers and Celtic as clubs, but they play in a pub league. Probably L1 standard. We should have a merger and have a British League system. Mad that the only time we play Scottish clubs is in friendlies.
  20. Any idea on the sizing. I'm probably a L in 90s kits but an XL in today's day and age. How do these remakes size up?
  21. I'm not disagreeing for the sake of it, I just strongly do so. As you say, his small CV shows he can impact when coming in mid season so don't see why his appointment would work pre season rather than mid season. As a lifelong Wednesday fan, he's the best manager in my lifetime (not saying much admittedly) but he was a class above anything I've seen before in the Hillsborough dugout.
  22. Thats not how i see it. I see it as he came in and got a poo tonne more out of a dejected squad than many others could have. I suspect he'd do the same at rangers and have the same rangers team pushing the top 2 come the end of the season.
  23. Keeping us up was an unbelievable achievement. Do not minimise it.
  24. The first mistake of DC, sacking Stuart Gray after he'd built a solid team spirit with a very average team. Can't help but wonder where we'd be if Milan hadn't sold to him.
