We really need you all now
HOOTIE AND THE SHIT TU replied to shandypants's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
It's a shame some people stayed away, we played some lovely football at times today We were undone by poor defending 2 of the goals came from shots outside the box, no one closed the shooter down, the other was from a poorly defended set piece Obviously missing the penalty didn't help, and Bailey should have scored when he went one on one with the keeper A couple of the players, Otegbayo and Jamal Lowe had their best games in a Wednesday shirt for me Charlie McNeil, Harry Amass had cracking games as well, as did Jan Valery It was strange to see Bannan so high up the pitch, but he linked the play really well I thought it was Palmer's best game in a while, Ingellson had a good game, and Fusire was much more on it this week I thought everyone had a good game, it was very encouraging, just a shame we don't seem to be able to defend -

I get that Someone on here the other day said it would have a big effect on today's turnout I thought because of the need to impress would be buyers, the drop off wouldn't be significant I was wrong, it was very significant -

I know you're trying to wind people up Liam, but A load said get Chansiri out and they would flock back A load said drop the prices and they would flock back A load will say If it wasn't the run up to Christmas people would flock back A load will say If it wasn't two home games on the spin people would flock back Thing is, this could be the most important time in our history, and people are not flocking back Some Wednesdayites will always find an excuse not to go It's true what the Blunts say about us, we're a big game crowd We only turn up for Derby games and play offs It's disappointing -
Plan for rest of season.

More formal bids expected at SWFC today
HOOTIE AND THE SHIT TU replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I should have put legally bound to accept the bid which gives creditors the best return They would then have to pass the EFL's fit and proper test It is also my understanding that once the bids are in, KW would approach the lower bidders and ask them if they want to increase their bid Personally, if the highest bid offers the club the best future, I wouldn't go back to the lower bidders and offer them the chance to up their bid, but the administrators are legally bound to get the best deal for the creditors, and that includes going back to the low bidders and asking them to dig deeper Personally, I think we are going to land on our feet, whoever the winning bidder is, I can see only a brighter future -

It's my understanding The administrators are duty bound to pick the bid that gives creditors the best return Not the bid that would be best for the future of the club -
The few blunts I've spoken to since yesterday haven't tried to gloat They realise they've just beaten a team who would be hard pressed to get points in league 2 I'm finding it difficult to look at this season with any kind of hope I think any team that don't take us to the cleaners in our present state, have got their own problems United looked very poor, they caught us on a day when every player except Amass, looked liked they would struggle in league 2 I don't like to slate players but I can't wait to see the back of Ugbo, Jamal Lowe, Iorfa, and the keeper Bannan, Max Lowe, Palmer and Valery had very poor games, but I give them a bit of leeway, especially Bannan, we would be unwatchable without him Fusire should be nowhere near the first team on that showing, but he's been thrown in and he's trying his best with the tools he's got, and the more I see of this keeper, the more I can't wait for January, at least he didn't throw one in this week Amass was our best player by miles, and he's not ours I thought Ingellson worked his socks off, but he's not going to provide either goals or assists The good point, if the new owner was watching, he will now know the size of the rebuild, if that doesn't frighten him off, then the future is bright I wasn't expecting us to win yesterday, I thought the best we could hope for was a draw I expected at the very least we would have a go You wouldn't want to be in the trenches with this bunch I can't wait for the clearout

The Pigs Are Terrified
HOOTIE AND THE SHIT TU replied to Furious George's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
The teams you talk about have brought millions in from the sale of players and re-investing their money wisely A 30K capacity stadium isn't enough in the Premier League, not if you want to stay there long term There's vast riches to be gained in the Premier league, it's why teams either build a bigger stadium or extend what they've already got Usually teams with the most money end up with the best players, you get anomalies, but it never lasts There's a reason the promoted clubs only stay in the Premier League for one season A 30K stadium will not provide the revenue needed to stay in the Premier League long term -
If the new stadium resembles an Owl with a Pig in it's claws, then I'm all for it

The Pigs Are Terrified
HOOTIE AND THE SHIT TU replied to Furious George's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I've spoken to a few who are terrified of us getting a game changing owner They are bricking it Wilder Pig said something in the recent Derby interview He said if we had beaten Hull in the play off final, we would have been out of sight for the next 20 years They've had a few seasons in the Premier recently, they've had parachute payments, but they've done nothing with it, having a 30K capacity ground or there abouts has really held them back They know deep down, that if we get taken over by someone who knows what they are doing, then it's over for them They are always in our shadow is not just a saying, they know if we get our act together it's true Wednesday are a different animal, we have the history and the fan base, they can't even sell out in play offs The pigs really are terrified, but I think it's more about whats coming after tomorrow- 70 replies

Knock Meadowhall down Two birds with one stone and all that

Actually, just thought of a better one We should have one made of Piggy Wilder
-
The club shop should sell these not only as a reminder, but so they can be thrown around the kop along with other inflatables to celebrate when the new owner arrivals

I remember Mel's first games in midfield, he looked very ordinary Big Jack switched him to right back and it was like someone had switched a light on He turned in to some player overnight -

I don't think badly of anyone who went to the Middlesborough game, I just think they were misguided, same as the people at the kiosks spending money in the ground, some of them wearing black and gold scarves They probably thought we were powerless to remove the owner We've shown everyone, even ourselves that this club is nothing without us the supporters That game was pivotal in forcing Chansiri's hand Me and my son stayed at home, we can hold our chin up high and say we answered the call Now it's time to move on Together We have to put this debacle behind us and move on to what could be the start of something really special WAWAW -
That wasn't by design If I remember right, I think it was Ian that modified it, but it was a long time ago, actually it might have been Dot, but the name stuck Sort of like a cling on
