Should not be losing games like that
Flat Owl replied to fedupowl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
We’ve lost games like that even with a competitive squad. We’ve won games and not played anywhere near what the boys did yesterday. In the circumstances, just accept that it was an entertaining game of football…. -
Is the penny starting to drop?

Unlucky lads. Best performance for a few games but a few looking tired - particularly Valery and Max. Another game hamstrung by the lack of squad depth. Cooper is gettting us organised at the back. Decent performance overall IMO.
-
Horvath MoM again
-
Fusire started as a full back. Palmer is slower than Fusire. Right call IMO but you are right, that winger is rapid.
-
Fusire is getting mullered because McNeil goes awol and isn’t supporting his fullback…
-
We will need his energy and drive in Lge 1 - if he wants to stay…

Perhaps but perhaps league 1 / league 2 is the standard we have left. Kids. Players in their mid thirties. Players who are 3rd choice at their parent clubs. Players who have had no rest playing international football this past fortnight. Players playing with injuries. Players who are woefully out of form. The league games are like cup matches - enthusiastic starts until the quality of the opposition shines through. Effort is simply not enough.
-
Seriously. The guts have been ripped out of this club. What is left is clearly not competitive enough for the Championship. It is pointless highlighting the failings of individuals. This meagre squad is diminishing by the week as injuries and fatigue bite. It may very well be a record breaking season for losses but that will be down to one f**king idiot - not the folks who are left doing what they can.

🦉 v ⚔️ The Steel City Derby: Official Matchday Thread
Flat Owl replied to ReginaldD's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Excellent post Prowl. These players and staff are all we have thanks to that f**king idiot. His behaviour and the fall out from it will affect us for the next couple of seasons yet. -
The bloke is shattered. No weeks rest for him.

Spot on.

The 1983 Fa-Cup Semi Final at Highbury

‘Division 2 is calling you’… -
…and no else one could get a word in edgeways…

The stadium, if completed would have been similar to how old Trafford was 25 years ago. Post the disaster in 1989, everything on the west side of the ground should now be demolished IMO and rid ourselves of that legacy forever, save for a monument to those that perished.

No - I just think the bloke was totally out of his depth in terms of ‘business’, let alone one in a foreign country, with a turnover of thousands of pounds…. Rank amateur and nothing more than a Bangkok street trader….
-
Exactly - the level was literally lower than a Bangkok street vendor who then turned into the bloke in the hole in t’ road including suddenly packing up and running off when the police passed through. Using TUF as a ruse to persuade folk he was ‘legit’. As it turns out we have to cobble together a misnumbered kit vs anyone who plays in blue and white. We’ve got the same amount of Bitter lines as Lager but sell 12x more lager than bitter causing delays. IT system failure for 5 days. Can’t do chicken and chips because the fire suppression systems would make it unsafe. The whole f**king amateurish fiasco just beggars belief. Massive well done to everyone who have been fighting their way through the wake of the idiots business practices.

Rubbish. Waddle didn’t put anyone on their ar5e and left them for dead….
-
Different supplier for the shirts…. Too many chafed nipple injuries in the early games that season.

Wow predictive text…

Hairstyles is looking very well on his 10 pints a night! Bomber Brown has all the physical attributes that Hirsty had and a degree of his anticipation. Just brilliant that our younger players can absorb as much as they can from all the experience he has. Absolutely criminal that all of them have been sidelined by that f**king idiot.

Brilliant that the boys are back in town! -
Well done lads. solid battling performance but little bite up front. plenty of running and effort from everyone. Bodes well for the Naarch game.
