I am a Wednesdayite lounge regular but had my first visit to the 1867 lounge for Port Vale game. It was busier than the Wednesdayite lounge on normal matchday so I would have thought packed in the season. I was stood next to Hirst senior and junior though, and the Wednesdayite lounge cant offer that.

If we can replicate week 1 in pay day week then we might not be far off 20k which would be excellent

I have always told my kids that the good days would return, and often recalled my early years of watching Wednesday in the 70's slipping into the 3rd Division. Then the promotions and big years 83, 91, 94 & 2005 and now 2016 is one of those outstanding years and they have experienced it all. Neither were born nor have ever lived in Sheffield and had to stand alone in their love of Wednesday. That love is now backed up with pride. Pride in a great season. Pride in an exciting team. Pride in an unforgettable day out. Pride in being part of the best footballing family that came together, that we are still buzzing about. Its a great time to be an Owl, again. Heres to the young un's.

39 of us on coach starting Long Eaton, Derby, Burton on Trent then massive pick up in Nuneaton. Many towns one team. WAWAW

Promotion isn't what will define this season. We revelled in the unity that Stuart Gray brought to our club last season. The football wasnt great but the spirit and togetherness got us to our highest positon in years. Carlos has taken it to anorther level. Spirit, togetherness, skill, drive, quality of players we have not seen in 20 years. Chansiri had a plan for promotion next season, and we all dreamed it could happen. Its here early. We are a country mile better than our closest challengers. Lets enjoy the play offs, we have nothing to lose, and what will be will be. Rest assured, no one will want to face us. I live near and work in Derby, and they do not want to face us at Wembley. Whatever happens, it's been a great season.
