It’s been an emotional week for everyone connected with Sheffield Wednesday. The players showed incredible heart at West Brom, and the supporters have shown heart all week — through everything you’ve done for this club. Now it’s time to bring that same fight home. On Wednesday 5 November, we return to Hillsborough for Blue & White Night — and this one means more than just football. I know it’s Bonfire Night. I know there are other places you could be. But this is our night, and it’s definitely our fight — a night to light up Hillsborough with pride, passion, and belief. The team gave everything on the pitch at West Brom, and they’ll give everything again on Wednesday. What they need now is you — a full, loud, together Hillsborough behind them. Come early, wear your blue and white colours, and be part of the atmosphere: • Turnstiles open at 6:00pm • Pie & Pint for £7.50 until 6:45pm • Pie & Pop for £6 until 6:45pm • Music, colour, and a full pre-match build-up inside the ground We’ve made sure the bars and kiosks are fully stocked — with plenty of food and beer ready. We’ve brought in extra staff and will be trialling a new payment method (announcement coming soon) to help serve you quicker than ever before, so you can enjoy the build-up and be in your seats for kick-off. We have also significantly increased our matchday programme order for this fixture. Every single ticket helps. Each of you can make a difference. This club is fighting — and together, we’ll get through this to a bright future.110 points

Sheffield Wednesday fans are amazing - but I’ve always known that! I can genuinely say, this is the first thing that has amazed me since Friday. 54 minutes to raise £10,000 with nothing in return. Absolutely incredible. Thank you so much! Heart pounding stuff WAWAW94 points

That is my plea. I don't care how painful or how much of a ******** we're taking come final whistle on Sunday. Each and everyone of us needs to stay to the end and thank the boys on the pitch. Never have I ever gone into a derby expecting to lose. Neve have I gone into one with my team on minus points. Never have I gone into one having not seen my team win at home in months. I don't give a flying Warnock. Those lads wearing the blue and white regardless of score, and I believe we can turn those ******** over, will deserve just like at Oxford and Norwich a standing ovation coming onto and more importantly leaving it. Do not let the emotions of the day detract from what each and every one of those players, coaching team, medical, school and whoever else has played a part in getting this fixture to be played this season have done. We owe them. WAWAW90 points

I’ve been having a bit of trouble with my tv and couldn’t get some of the channels despite trying all the resets. So, asked a guy I know that knows a bit about televisions if he would pop round this morning. He sorted the problem out and fitted a new receiver and the picture is now brilliant. However, when it came to ask him how much I owed him he said nothing but put the money to Sheffield Wednesday to help pay the wages. Despite telling him that they were now covered until the end of Jan his reply was really heartwarming - he said he had always liked Barry Bannan who played for a short time with Bolton Wanderers and after seeing his wonder goal last week he said he thought Barry was still one of the great players outside the Premiership that he really enjoyed watching and epitomizes what he likes in a good footballer. i thought that was great coming from a very staunch Bolton supporter so when I come to the Derby game I’m going to donate £50 to the club as instructed by Phil my tv repair man. A Great Gesture from a Wanderers fan.87 points

Nope - That excuse doesn't wash/work If it were Ariana Grande or Justin Bieber at Sheffield Arena the kids would be there no problem at all Same as if this was a cup semi-final or a playoff semi-final Let's not look for ANY excuses here Let's look for ideas, suggestions, ways forward, solutions and ways we can all help sell this game OUT81 points

Last night when I got to the gates I realised I had lost my wallet, with the tickets inside. I went back to my car hoping to come across it. A kind gentleman helped me look in the surrounding area and a phone call home confirmed I had lost it somewhere around the ground. Just as I started to cancel my cards, my phone rang and it was Sheff Wed main reception. They told me someone had found my wallet and dropped it off with them. I just want to thank the person(s) who picked up my wallet and handed into the club, such a brilliant act when it would have been easier to take a different option. I then want to thank the reception staff, Alastair and stewards who helped get this back to me. I really do appreciate all the help / kindness. The generosity will be passed on. Thanks again. To whowever on the Kop who threw the objects at the United players on Sunday ! I understand the FA have now launched an investigation which could result in a £100k fine. Thats all the money the Trust donated and all the money we raised on Owlstalk and more, so in one stupid act you've potettentially jepodised staff wages and important funds to continue running the club during administration. Even if the fine doesn't come through until after we've got new owners, imagine that conversation... 'welcome to the massive, heres a £100k fine you need to pay to the FA'. Personally, if the culprit is known they need to be named and pay the fine themselves, or at least payback eveyone who contributed to the collections who wants to claim it back from them. Hearing that most of the interested parties looking to buy SWFC may well be attending the Norwich City match and in particular a couple that as Wednesday fans we REALLY want to buy us As you might see/hear/read - this means that this will be the last match for our fans to show any potential buyers just what we can do, what our crowds can be like, how big our fanbase is - It's very likely that there won't be another opportunity before the administration era ends and the club is bought by someone This means that the Norwich City match is probably the most important home game in years and years as it could make the difference between who we get as our new owners So I guess it's down to every single one of us now to do whatever we humanly can to get to the Norwich game BUT/AND also to bring friends, family, colleagues and workmates along too if possible We definitely need to be hitting that 30,000+ mark which is easily possible if everyone buys tickets asap, and given that this weekend is pay day for many people too which will allow many of our amazing fans to be able to afford to snap up tickets As always on Owlstalk we'll keep a countdown / running total going to show how we're getting on I'm expecting numbers to jump once everyone's been paid this week and fans start to snap up the tickets Remember - bring someone with you whether it's family, friends, workmates, blokes from down the pub, lapsed season ticket holders, people who fell out with the club under Chansiri etc etc - do whatever you humanly can to get them to come and have a party at the Norwich match With 30,000 in the ground, and with a party atmosphere we will be able to show and demonstrate to any new potential owners who we might really want to own us exactly who we are and how MASSIVE our fanbase is Let's do this78 points

George Hirst is now playing for Scotland, possibly going to the World Cup, has played in the Premier League and is probably earning more than 90% of our squad We're on our way to League One and haven't paid our players regularly for the last 8 months. I'd say that justifies the decision to seek other opportunities76 points

...I’ll walk back into Hillsborough for the first time in two and a half years after a self-imposed absence in protest at Chansiri. Driving to work this morning I thought I'd put on a few Wednesday related tunes. Everything was fine until the first few bars of Waterfront came on… and I was gone, absolutely gone. I’d told myself it was just football. That I didn’t really miss it. Maybe it was self preservation, I dunno, but I was wrong. This club has a way of pulling you back, no matter how far you’ve drifted or how much time has gone by. Tonight, I’ll climb the steps onto the North Stand with my young 'un and see that spectacle once again. That light at the end of the tunnel just got a bit brighter and it finally feels like the start of getting this great club back on the right track. Enjoy tonight everyone. Wawaw. And just in case you want a listen...70 points

You should beat us easily on Sunday. You’ve got a multi million pound squad, ours is patched together and threadbare. You should gain absolutely no sense of achievement by beating us. Should you fail to win, it will potentially be the most embarrassing Sheffield Derby result you’ve ever had. You’ve spent your millions. Your parachute payments are running out. You tried to blame your abject start to the season on Selles, brought Wilder in as a final roll of the dice hoping it would change things, but amusingly ‘the messiah’s’ return hasn’t had the desired effect. All we hear from the fans and Wilder is the ‘January transfer window can’t come quick enough’ again to try and place all the blame at Selles door due to poor recruitment. How you need ‘a number 9’ despite you having to watch Moore score for fun for Wrexham. Bet you wish you’d not made him the scapegoat for another bottle job and tactically lacking performance from the players and manager in the play off final. You’re only a place above us despite us being at our lowest ebb in our history. We can sense your fear. That joy of us almost going out of business has been replaced by fear that new owners are going to see the potential of this older, more successful club, come in, invest, and truly reawaken this sleeping giant. They will hopefully reap the rewards of that investment and take us forward. Potentially leaving you in our midst. That’s what’s worrying you. We know that, you know that. Should you beat us on Sunday-and at the other Steel City Derby later in the season-the gloating will be the most intense it’s ever been, because it’ll be fuelled by that fear. You’ll want one last dig before the tide potentially turns. Well you’re welcome to it, because even in administration there is genuinely no way I’d swap our position for yours. I’m sure we’ll get relegated this year but we will hopefully get that investment, rebuild and come back stronger and enjoy watching the tide of success turn once again in the city. We’ll see you on Sunday, try and behave yourselves, and remember the pressure is all on you. But should you beat us, the victory will be as hollow as your trophy room.60 points

Big Sam. If he gets the club he's ready to have Big Sam as manager. He's just returned from discussions with him about the position at Mike Ashley's holiday home in Portugal. It will happen immediately if Ashley is successful in his attempt to purchase the club which he believes will happen by 20th December. You read it here first.57 points

This is probably it. Points deductions, embargoes, being described as “crisis club Sheffield Wednesday” for months. In 158 years, this is arguably the worst it’s ever been. However… Less than a month ago, we — as a fanbase — removed the cancer that put our club in this mess. Getting our club back is the biggest result we could achieve this season or any other season. We’re days/weeks away from a new dawn under new ownership, with several bids on the table. We know some of the interested parties are serious, wealthy people. One of the administrators is a Wednesday fan. We couldn’t be in better hands right now. Today is crap and it’ll sting for a bit, but things are going to get better very soon. Keep the faith, WAWAW56 points

...where we are, the quality of players we have and the effort put in. But I'm absolutely fed up of seeing us play the ball around at the back between non-footballing defenders, only to see them play the ball into a non-footballing midfielder who is facing his own goal with an opposition player up his arse. We have to be realistic (and this is down to the manager) about the style of football we are capable of playing. We simply are not good enough to play the style we're trying to play. Only Bannan is anywhere near capable of taking the ball facing his own goal. We have willing runners in Cads, Lowe and Inglesson. Get the ball into the channels, turn their defenders and let's win throws and corners. The number of times we gave them the ball in midfield today was ridiculous. 90% of the time through trying to play football that we simply can't play. New game plan. Is Barry available? Yes - give him the ball. No - launch the ***** thing. When Megson first got the job and he turned it round, he was asked what had changed. He said "I noticed that we give the ball away a lot. So I told them to give it away in their half rather than ours." Doesn't have to be rocket science.54 points

Sentimentality sentimentality / ˌsɛntɪmɛnˈtælɪtɪ / noun the state, quality, or an instance of being sentimental an act, statement, etc, that is sentimental The club must stop all the sentimentality bulls**t, it's inbred into the fanbase. A successful club is run efficiently and ruthlessly. Too many players have been given an easy ride because they "try hard" or are "loved for their effort". We need players who are skillful and intelligent and used to winning. If they don't fit the bill, ship them out. The same is necessary for the management staff. We have had to endure second rate players for 25 years, some have never witnessed a good player. It's time to change. WAWAW.53 points

There will be more and more of this as they start to realise they’ve missed their chance. We’ve been poo for 30 years and they still haven’t been able to catch up. Now with all the interest we’re getting they know they’re gonna get left for dust, they can’t handle it so they’re lashing out.53 points

No, I'm not talking about the sweet tip-tapping toes and cornet playing chutzpah of Roy Castle! Nor the encyclopedic memory of Norris McSquirter ... ... they've only gone and done it, they've smashed another "Championship record for the highest number of defeats a team has suffered in their opening 14 matches since the EFL was restructured ahead of the 2004/05 season"* Well done Chrisseh and the lads! *from The Star50 points

Today's attendance at West Brom, a club flirting with the play offs on a weekend! For a game they should be treating as a banker. Us, doomed pretty much to L1 umbongoed to the moon and back are looking st 28-29k for a match on bonfire night in the mid week. Consider how amazing this is and be proud, and if you get the idea to get on anyone's back for "not doing enough" show us your credentials as CEO of fan gatekeeping. I am astounded at what our fan base has done these last few months, you are all amazing, I am just sad a few people seem to think its OK to have a pop at people for not doing what they perceive to be "enough". So I figured a bit of context might help. WAWAW and we are better off for it!48 points
