Utterly amazed by the content of some posts on here atm

 

“Pedersen not good enough “, “Recruitnent not good enough”

”Atmosphere not good enough”

”Dreading the next match”

 

What is wrong with everybody ?

 

We escaped liquidation by the skin of our teeth last season, had our squad decimated, we are now operating under league restrictions which impacts everything we try to do and yet some of you want instant success!

 

This is absolutely typical of modern society saying I want it all and I want it now!

 

Please be realistic - this season will be full of ups and downs while we try to get the new players to bed in. Try to have some patience and a bit of understanding.

 

Constant sniping will not help the players, the coaching staff or the management/ owners.

I genuinely feel some people never will be able to do that.

I'm honestly impressed with all the contraints the rebuild. I expected this season to start on minus points. 

 

Instead after two games we are on three points. We have some young talent. Things are looking bright. 

 

It may take time. Enjoy the journey!!!

26 years and counting of mainly sh ite and some still claim some of our fans are impatient

I really don’t think it’s been anywhere near as bad as some are making out. We were poor first half against Leyton Orient, but much better second half and could easily have won by more. Against Bradford we came flying out of the blocks and could’ve been a couple up at half-time, then admittedly had a poor second half. can't read too much into the Wolves game either, didn’t think we were terrible.

We’ve just added 15 new players to the squad. There are obviously going to be inconsistent performances. give it time man

Exactly. We beat a decent Bolton team and Wolves were a better team but we still had chances with a much changed side . It's not going to be all smooth going but we're on the right road .

You wouldn't believe we've got credible and competent new owners with ambition and vision, who have recruited high calibre people to run the club would you? We should be feeling positive and optimistic about the future, but apparently we're sleepwalking to disaster and our whole season is one or two games away from being a total write off........

I'm fortunate to remember the Jack Charlton>Howard Wilkinson>Big Ron>Tricky Trev period and unfortunate enough to remember the period afterwards and the one we are currently in.
Even if you count Eustace, who was only in briefly, that was 5 managers in 15 years. Since then, we have had 22 managers in 30 years.
I have only had big expectations under two of them - Carvahal and Röhl.
I got that expectation after just a few games with them as coach.
True, I can't say I have that feeling with HP - but he's probably been dealt the worst hand of the lot, apparently operating within a £2m budget.
We've had plenty of managers unable to improve much on their predecessors and some of them have really been crap - Wilson, Jewell, Shreeves, Yorath, Turner, Laws, Irvine, Luhukay, Monk, Pulis, Xisco.
Some pretty decent - Sturrock, Megson, Gray and maybe Bruce.
But we don't know yet where HP fits into that.
So, this is a round about way of saying:

"FFS, give him a bit more of a chance."
