First, a plea. If any fan wants a season, or a month, or a day, doing these OMDTs, please say or DM me. Only too pleased to step aside for new blood with fresh ideas. 
 

If not, I’ll do most, and Snoots has offered to chip in occasionally when his busy roistering and rutting schedules allow. So there’ll be an OMDT every game. But please, do come forward if you would like to do some or all OMDTs this mouth-watering season.
 

Talking of new blood, with fresh ideas, how joyful to start this new era (or is it epoch ). I feel 10 years younger, 6 inches taller, and a thousand times happier. Bring on 3pm Saturday!

We start our new era/epoch/eon by welcoming Steven Schumacher’s newly promoted Championship club Bolton Wanderers to Hillsborough. We’ll be reuniting with recent old boy Akin Famewo, though he’ll be a lot less welcome than when he wore our stripes.

 

 

 

No certainty which Bolton keeper we’ll be putting 5 goals past (cough) on Saturday. Regular goalie David Harrington is under pressure for his place.

Harrington recently learned that his dad is in fact ex-Watford player and manager Kenny Jacket. Despite this obvious shock he’s been happy to change his name and is now going under the name David Harrington-Jacket. (one for the kids there.)

 

Competing for the goalie shirt is youngster Nathan Broome.

Broome is highly thought of, though he’s considered more of a sweeper-keeper.

 

Not satisfied with Harrington and Broome, they’ve been battling with a lesser-known comedy side from a smellier part of Sheffield to sign ageing keeper Asmir Begovic, having missed out with cheeky bids for Bert Trautmann and Lev Yashin.

I know it’s only the Carabao, and I know we have our doubts about our Xl, our squad and our manager, but I for one couldn’t be more excited about Saturday, the weeks ahead, the season and above all, our future. 
 

There are shedloads of bumps in the road ahead of us, but this time last year the road ahead was bombed to smithereens. 

 

Good luck to the players and to Henrik. Let’s enjoy the ride and see where the 2026/2027 season takes us.

Good mornimg, everyone. This is a glorious opportunity to get to Hillsborough and cheer on the lads in blue, white and black. Saturday afternoon, summer, 3 pm, good value, higher league opposition. Whilst I'm sure it'll be at the top end when compared to other matches, surely we could have been looking at 20,000 attending? If you're able, please come on and cheer The Owls tomorrow. UTO!

The return of the Match Day Thread. What a glorious day! Can’t wait to see what the season brings. Posting a day early is a good idea. Although I did go into a slight decline when I saw it trying to calculate what day it was and if we were actually playing today.

I’m expecting a 12-0 win for Wednesday. Anything less than that then I’m afraid Pedersen has to go.
